They are incredibly optimistic and are very genuine and honest with Gorgug. Though they find it hard to relate to him since he is a half-orc, they do their very best and use every opportunity they get to turn a negative situation into an analogy and life lesson. Both Digby and Wilma encourage their son to sing whenever he feels negative emotion, and often pull out their instruments, a ukulele and harp respectively, when they feel it's appropriate.
