College of Rock
Bard Subclass (Source: Homebrew)
Some of the musically inclined followers of the inventor god Mokay practice a form of frenetically fast paced music that is played loud and aggressively. Though this style of music is not for everybody, those who like it tend to be quite enthusiastic in their appreciation. Even those who denigrate it as a mere cacaphony of sheer noise can't deny its ability to incite a strong reaction though!
Bonus Proficiencies
When you join the College of Rock at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with medium armor, all light weapons, and your choice of one martial weapon. You also gain proficiency with drum and lute if you do not already have it.
Bonus Cantrips
Also at 3rd level you learn your choice of either Lightning Riff or Sonic Wave, and at 6th level you learn the other one. These count as bard cantrips for you, but do not count against the number of bard cantrips you know.
Big Face-melting Solo
Starting at 3rd level, while playing a musical instrument you are proficient with you can use a bonus action and expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to inspire others with the power of your rocking solo. Roll your Bardic Inspiration die to determine the result. You and all allies within 45 feet who can hear your music gain a bonus equal to that result on the first ability check, attack roll, or saving throw they make before the end of your next turn.
Stúrm und Dráng
Starting at 6th level, whenever you deal lightning damage or thunder damage you may add your proficiency bonus to the damage dealt to one creature. Additionally, wizard spells that always deal lightning and / or thunder damage are added to the bard spell list for you. For instance, Lightning Bolt and Thunderstep are added to the bard spell list for you, but Chromatic Orb is not.
Go to Eleven
Starting at 14th level, whenever you deal lightning or thunder damage to any number of creatures, you may expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration and roll the die to determine the result. All creatures that took at least 11 lightning and / or thunder damage (in total) suffer a penalty equal to that result on the first ability check, attack roll, or saving throw they make before the end of your next turn.
