You play a stringed musical instrument that you are proficient with, and each creature in a 15-foot line must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 1d8 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
At Higher Levels: At 5th level, you deal an additional 1d8 damage and each time you cast this cantrip you may choose to increase the range of the line by 5 feet. At 11th level, you deal an additional 2d8 damage and may choose to increase the range of the line by 5 feet or by 10 feet. At 17th level, you deal an additional 3d8 damage and may choose to increase the range of the line by 5 feet, or by 10 feet, or by 15 feet.
