Mephiles, God Of Fear

As an evil god of fear, he is fed by the fear that all feel, you don't have to worship mephiles to feed him, just feel fear in any way. He is the patron god of evil dragons who bear his unique unchanged genealogy, meaning corro dragons, soulless, & swarm wyrms. Ever since the dragon's alignment was no longer bound by their scale color, mephiles' Draconic worship dwindled immensely.   Through the swarm wyrms as lesser swarm kill through the blade law, the death power I.e souls are tithed to the wyrms and eventually mephiles. When soulless kill they give power to mephiles as they are agents of destruction.

The Fell Festival: Also called the Festival Of The Dragon King, where the followers of mephiles especially dragons would destroy civilizations to please mephiles.

Mephiles plans to dominate the world through fear but only those who can see the Final Shape, he does this by picking out the strong life from those who survive hardship marking their strength.

Mortal Form

In his mortal form mephiles is a 7'4 Half Dragon & eidolon male with a pale complexion, red eyes, a slender yet muscular build, & short white hair.

True Form

In his Dragon form he is the size of a mountain larger than normal dragons, with deep purple scales, golden horns & 6 crimson eyes.

Superhuman Strength & Constitution

  As one of the first dragons, mephiles has supernatural strength and constitution. His strength is high enough to crush bodies with his hands, wield heavy weapons with one hand, and punch through adamantium. Mephilies's constitution was so high he could go without sustenance or rest for 10 years, & be able to continue fighting despite his body being ripped to mangled bits.

Superhuman Intelligence, Wisdom, & Charisma

  Mephilies was always smart but due to his long life and experience he has supernatural intelligence, wisdom, & charisma. He knew how to make effective convoluted plans and traps which others had difficulty unraveling, he knew how to read people and use their nature and habits against them, he was extremely good at beguiling and intimidating others.

High Spirit Reserves

  As a dragon, mephiles had an immense amount of spirit similar to the seraphim although through the soul sphere and usage of soul shards he gained even more spirit reserves.

Epic Magic

  Mephiles through the accumulation of the avalonian nephilim's knowledge learned of epic magic and gained such powerful spells for his own lusting for the forbidden 12th level spell "All".

Immortality

  Mephilies doesn't age and if he isn't destroyed will live forever

Soulless Manipulation

  Like those who survive being in a soulless pool, mephiles can control the physicality & anatomy of soulless beings being able to change their bodies in many ways to suit his needs. He uses this to make new souless to terrorize the world.

Crimson Eyes

  Due to his biological father being the eidolon zyler he gained the crimson eyes trait allowing him to control soulless who are caught his gaze.

Shift

  Mephiles can alter his own form to suit his needs from being in a humanoid shape to blend in with mortals or take on his original dragon form for a serious battle.

Draconic Traits

Dragon Rage

  A trait of the dragon race that allows mephiles to tap into a powerful draconic rage gaining a tremendous boost in strength and durability.

Draconic Sorcery

  Through the innate trait of dragons mephiles has immense arcane magic within him and through his knowledge of arcane magic he is proficient in typical magic and shadow

Dragon Dominion

  As the creator of dragons, mephiles had control over the entire dragon race being able to command them from any distance in any realm. This only worked on dragons who matched his original design the evil corro court however as draconic genes began to dilute into ashla dragons & tao dragons due to mephiles draconic genes stemming from Solaris those dragons couldn't be controlled by mephiles. After Nastrolog went one step further and removed the dragon's alignment no dragon could be controlled by this ability.

Divine Traits

Dark Creation

  Through his subsumption of his grandmother he gained some semblance of creation through this he made other dark creations dark matter, the abyssal worms who lead to the creation of the swarm, the animus the robotic army capable of simulating anything they interact with, the pinnacle realm of phagenia & the umbrosians to come from it, as well as the black ships called the umbral blights. All of these creations emit dark matter particles like sterile neutrinos, axions, & dark photons.

Dark Connection

  Mephilies is connected with all of his dark creations being able to command them as well. This ability became crippled when mephiles stole the miracle of Savera in his gloating; he was stabbed by her 28 times with an oblivion ore dagger; the trace amounts of the metal canceled this power.

Fear

  As an extension of Khaios he bears the power called "Fear" which allows him to make others feel a powerful threat that alters their behavior. This has been used to make people flee much to mephiles' glee or submit to his will out of worry for their safety.   A higher version of this power called "Terror" can cause people's heart to stop from the sheer dread. Mephiles can also feed on the fear of others whether it's natural or made, allowing him to make a positive feedback loop where he grows infinitely stronger by feeding on fear.

Miracle Absorption

  A miracle stolen from an unknown individual allowing mephiles to take the miracles of others and give those miracles if he chooses. He has used this miracle over the eons to steal miracles he thought would be beneficial to him and his subordinates & even taking miracles that are detrimental to him.

Memory Manipulation

  A miracle stolen from the eidolon unia from team S.K.U.L originally known as amnesia but it was remodeled to be even better than before. It not only can destroy memories but fabricate memories to put into others.

Miracle Duplication

  A miracle copied from the nephilim loki enabling mephiles to touch others and gain an exact copy of their miracle. He uses this to gain powerful miracles for him and his subordinates.

Thorn

  A miracle copied from dregen yor enabling him to fire pale green thorns that leech life-force and cause agony.

Return

  A miracle stolen from Savera olgrim to return to his former glory. Return can use time to bring things back to a previous state.

Umbral Tendrils

  A miracle stolen from an unknown individual allowing mephiles to make a series of black tentacles from his body to capture, attack, and defend.

  A miracle copied from his father zyler through touch any solid matter he interacts with will explode & it's matter controlled by mephiles.

Demolition

  A miracle copied from maya yor with a touch any solid matter mephiles interacts with will decay and dissolve into ashes.

Miracle Surge

  A miracle stolen from an unknown individual allowing mephiles to force the miracles of others to activate wasting their spirit and stressing their bodies.

Black Pyrokinesis

  A favored power of Khaios's group is Black Pyrokinesis the power to generate & manipulate flames imbued with negative energy. These flames can destroy all in their path dealing damage to even souls & spirit. If a mortal somehow lives through these flames the burns left behind would be severe and never heal.

Dominance

  In his humanoid form he wields an axe named Dominance, made from his own horns. Dominance is a 10ft. long, great-axe that mephiles can wield with 1 hand. The axe has been shown to be able to produce black flames & cleave people in half. Like those who are considered the pinnacle in the Blade Law, mephiles can cut wounds in reality to travel to other locations & realms.

Mephiles was born through the union of Salem & Zyler and the blood of Solaris. Upon his birth he was subsumed by Khaios and granted the power of Fear as his aspect as great things are planned for mephiles. From then he has grown with the guidance of zyler, growing more ambitious and vicious each year.   As he grew he made the other eidolons fear him and want him dead, however he used this to his advantage and faked his death using necromancy to put his soul in another body. This let him go more in disguise and grow a following of other eidolons who didn't want the mob to kill him, this became the Soulleal and as a reward for their worship he gave them all agelessness freeing them from the Crimson Curse.   Many of these eidolons came from the slums of Argus. The group eventually found the island of Eden and mephiles went there himself to attain the Relic Of Genesis. During his attack on the island he conducted with Kryona & Thales as well as many undead minions he managed to slay many makers and force Winter to open the Vault Of Genesis by using the other sages as a bargaining chip. Once he gained the Relic he honored his word and left the island in peace.   With the Relic Of Genesis he went to Gaia's realm Terra and cut her to pieces with his Axe Dominance. This gained him Dark Creation allowing him to produce Dark Matter. After this act of murder came the Old War, and mephilies took advantage of the 10,000 year War.   Once the dust settled mephiles & his following took refuge on the frozen moon Europa as he continually planned. He took his time, making more and more abominations and keeping mortals in a state of fear & desolation. Just to keep them in line and to pick out life with purpose.   As he continued this tyrade he sent many people to make sure mortals are on their intended path. He took Sunam and turned him into a monsterous Soulless abomination that would torment mortals for centuries. Although mephiles attempted to use Solaris as an infinite battery, he was unable to be controlled and the two fought, causing the Great Flash where the two fought so hard that the stars nearly died and fear was in the hearts of all mortals. This made a mortal named Lyon who was sent to the ruined planet of Divonis who went on to be one of the biggest thorns in his side.   Through one of his deaths in the dragon war his spirit was trapped in a mortal dwarven berserker named Daruk. The two were constantly at odds with each other, as Daruk kept mephilies from taking control & his failed attempts to force his way out. He eventually got out only to be fell by the vacuum of space.   Mephiles eventually used his realm to remake his body & curse the offspring of Sellfur who destroyed his scepter but he wouldn't rest until he got the power he lost in the Dragon War. He abducted Nio & Savera making her Restart Nio to have an infinite supply of Gaia's essence and then stole Restart to have the tools to go back to his stronger body, only to get 28 stab wounds from the tiefling necromancer with an oblivion ore dagger leaving trace amounts of the substance in his body severing his connection to his subordinates. He had Astrea Olgrim the daughter of Sellfur Olgrim abducted and tortured in the Fell Garden to gain Gaia's power even going so far as to attack the triplets in her womb, only for Astra to focus her spirit on that spot protecting her babies through a battle of will, until her husband got her out of the wretched realm.   He remained in hiding siphoning spirit from others to have enough to Restart himself back to his Prime, coming out when he was exposed to the world. After his last fight with Lyon Olgrim as he made the Fell Dragon realize that mortals won't bow to him and his mere existence as Fear no longer has power, leading to him being imprisoned ever since.

Upon his birth he was taught in languages and magic by his father and uncle & through Khaos he learned how to use divine powers and lead a clergy.

Mephiles has no type of morality as a heavy user of the blade law the only moral compass he has is strength. As a deity who has continued to grow, evolve, & dominate he views himself as the pinnacle of all life even though he seeks to destroy it. If something or someone gets in his way of his ambition he'll get rid of it no matter who it is like his mother salem.

Mephiles is motivated by power & domination over others as well as proving he is superior to others and once he does he gains control over them.

Mephiles give credit to the ones that succeed on their mission's giving credit where it is due. Despite his evil nature he has a soft spot for dragons. He is very intelligent, often using wit to defeat his foes and making many plans for many events being 5 steps ahead of his foes.

He is prideful to the point of overconfidence making a slim chance to catch him off guard. He will have a tantrum, when he doesn't have his way or isn't in control making it easy to harm him in his delusions of grandeur.   He sees other mortals as nothing more than a means to an end only really favoring dragons & loyal eidolons. He can't stand to see others with hope & joy wanting to bring them misery.

Mephiles gained the allegiance of many eidolons, the ones from Argus Omega as well as others playing to their fear of the crimson curse. He brought prosperity to his people through the gift of immortality and performed many experiments in souless & soul based technology. While he remained in the background throughout the Age Of Light being the catalyst to its end, he made his move on zodia with his dragons and cultists keeping the people under his thumb until the zodiac churches were born.   He was remembered by the Darkin as the beloved son of their goddess and kept them in check against Gardenia. He made a lot of turmoil for the world and Gardenians the Souless Flare, the constant souless attacks, stealing the miracles of many Gardenian huntsmen, torturing Astrea in the Fell Garden to gain Gaia's power, and other horrid acts. Once exposed for his treachery he attempted to destroy all of the Darkin but it was thwarted by Morigan & Lyon.

Gods

 

Khaios

  Khaios is the one responsible for his birth through the control of salem, they through subsuming the infant dragon, he was khaios's aspect ever since. He is imbued with fear which has served him well for eons as mortals are bound to their primal instincts no matter how complex they are. The two remain close working together to bring forth the cosmos's final form.  

Gaia

  Gaia is the grandmother of mephiles but he doesn't love her in any way only as a way of furthering his goals. The only good part about her is her immense power, something he wants to completely take. Gaia has been an enemy of mephiles for eons as mephiles obsessed over her power and how to gain more of it.  

Solaris

  The aspect of passion in his grandmother Gaia and the one who's immense power came from through his blood. He sees solaris as a prototype and himself as a better model, as he is impulsive, too caught up in his emotions and easily predictable despite this the two have been locked in conflict ever since he was reborn. Through Solaris the dragons he made became unable to be controlled, he stopped mephiles from gaining more power from the entropy of the Genesis Spark, and despite eons without his intervention one his reincarnation learned of his origin solaris became a thorn in mephilies's side until his downfall.  

Salem

  Mephilies's mother who was manipulated into having him being no longer needed upon his birth. He couldn't stand his mother's chaotic & unbalanced ideology and sought to make one where the only order is survival and the only chaos in that of battle.   Mephilies had her sealed away in the Well Of Madness while kryona masqueraded as salem while mephiles answered prayers & granted blessings. Salem who never wanted a child was hurt even more by his betrayal and now just longs for his downfall & her demise.  

Zelgius

  The uncle of mephiles and has really never taken him seriously knowing all he is about a rigid unchanging caste system that was easily exploitable and one mephiles easily crumbled during the Old War.  

Mortals

Lyon Olgrim

  The insufferable byproduct of the Great Flash, his reincarnation and due to his experience and unique personality he is an improved solaris. He hates Lyon due to how he has no control over him, & is better than Solaris in terms of heroism & planning.   He is the hope that mephiles hate & hopes that solaris foolishly subsumes him. Lyon hates mephiles for being the reason for his wife's hardship and would go to any lengths to destroy him.

Astrea Olgrim

  The oldest daughter of Sellfur Olgrim and the reincarnation of his grandmother Gaia. Astra is a fool who doesn't understand how she proves his point in preaching the Blade Law, with her favoring swords & her triumphant battle record.   She foolishly makes Preservation bonds with others making other channels for him to leech Gaia's power. He knows that despite her bravado and power she is wreathed in fear but hated how it was balanced by her perseverance and faith in others.

Daruk

  A dwarven warrior who he inhabited the mind & soul of vying for control and destruction during the clockwork crisis on zione. He had an immense hate for the dwarf who denied him at every turn having much more fortitude than he had anticipated. Eventually he regained his body but was defeated, staining his reputation. The mortal was eventually fell by Hyper-mutant soulless sunam.

Zyler

  The biological father of mephiles, he was the pride and joy of the demon alchemist. The two made many atrocities together like the creation of the wulver soulless through the use of seraphim & the creation of the soul sphere. He is one of the few mephiles cared for as the two have such history remaining close and even taking up the mantle of envy in the icons of damnation.

Kryona

  The most zealous eidolon to mephiles, being lust in the icons of damnation, born in the Argus Slums like zyler, thales, & nolos as the soul surge generation. She wanted to put her power towards perfection and has been loyalty serving mephiles ever since, being the test subject for the soul sphere blast coming out augmented, masquerading as astra despite not being able to copy the mannerisms of the prudish princess & nearly being strangled to death by her husband once she was found out. Kryona was the most favored subordinate of mephiles even becoming his favorite lover though they wouldn't be able to spend much time together due to their work, mephiles controlling everything while kryona remains in disguise gaining the trust of mortals to gain knowledge and assassinate them.

Thales

  An omega eidolon joined the Soulleal through his hate for the system that caused him and his friends suffering. Thales was gifted with the title of wrath in the icons of damnation and was a trusted combatant during the old war even being able to kill the winter sage. He chose to serve mephiles to reject the system that Salem and his people had built.

Nolos

  The uncle of mephiles and the one who taught him about necromancy giving him the tools to turn the dead into an army. Nolos took up the mantle of greed in the icons of damnation using his mind-control miracle to keep others in line.

Pestilence

  A zygote infamous in his world for his evil & cannibalistic behavior taken and used by mephiles as his means of using the zygotes against mortals being altered to bond to objects as well as creatures. Pestilence takes up the mantle of gluttony in the icons of damnation and only works for mephiles for the carnage and mayhem he can cause eating anyone or anything he comes across.

Uroboros

  The first and ever seraphim oridian built to house infinite energy. Mephiles seeing an opportunity in his subsumption allowed the simple abomination to be made although despite uroboros being uncontrollable by the seraphim he was more than a match for mephiles both being brought to their knees although uroboros died his power diapered around the cosmos making it impossible for mephiles to subsume him.

The Galgalim

  The creation of Zelgius made it a powerhouse and imprisoned the abyssal worms in the core of boria. Mephiles never thought much of the galgalim as it's always been predictable and been used to his advantage much like how the swarm where even born. The Galgalim has always been a source of entertainment for mephiles, always one step behind and everything he does serves mephiles despite being against him.

Factions

The Olgrim Family

  One mortal family that has been a thorn in his side for hundreds of years through many members. Pib Olgrim was a legendary human gunslinger who was responsible for aiding many factions in the zodiac civil war, making many offspring with many races who continued this cycle.   Sellfur Olgrim destroyed his scepter that could take and contain ascendant power & founded the utopian society that would ultimately lead to his downfall. The Olgrims have always had his eyes and efforts on this family to tear it down through fear.

The Ashido Family

  Once a noble house not worthy of note but during the dragon war Nastrolog became responsible for freeing all dragons from their scale based alignment dwindling mephiles draconic worship. The Family has been on mephiles' list of Houses to eliminate ever since as they live to hunt down dragons who still serve him.

The Swarm

  Initially a weak race on the brink of extinction but through making a deal with the abyssal worms they became one of mephiles' main forces of destruction & death being one of the most feared races in the cosmos that has toppled worlds leaving a few solar systems alive. They continually tithe souls of their victims to mephiles to continue the Blade Law.

The Animus

  These mechs are loved by mephiles due to their immense creation coming from their ability to assimilate others thus making worlds or simulations based on what they have absorbed being able to archive every victory of mephiles. Although he keeps them from assimilating paracausal forces & entities due to the threat of others with such power.

The Soulless

  Born from the blood of the rest of him, the soulless are mephiles' ultimate agents of annihilation. In terms of possibility and experimentation mephiles things the soulless has the most promise. This experimentation brought forth the Reapers.

The Reapers

  The most advanced soulless made with soul crystals as their cores giving them immense spirit reserves due to souls inside, the prototype being R-0, called morrigan by mortals. The first reaper was a failure due to his character despite being born from the essence of mephiles he felt genuine affection and adoration for mortals and was a liability to the cause. The others however were much better than the first one and weren't betrayers. Dragons   The race made from him originating as corro dragons bound to evil. Mephilies cares for corro dragons, but failed to stop their genetic dilution becoming ashla & tao dragons imbued with the spirit of his blood donor.

The Yor Family

  A fond mortal house that controlled his mother's clergy in the Dark Lands. Erebus Yor was the one pulling the strings while Nyx, his wife, was his loyal oracle goddess. Their children dregen & maya yor served great purposes as well with dregen holding onto his ascendant power thinking it was salem's but was slain for his failures & he knew too much too live & maya Yor was a conduit for miracles through the absorption of souls.

The Soulleal

  The main following of mephiles started in the Old Times from eidolons he freed from the crimson curse through immortality, and lived till this day as they operate in the city of Plegia & europa until it's destruction at the hands of Lyon Olgrim for the his & his sister's forced servitude and to stop the creation of the erasure curse. They are now relocated to the Fell Nebula where it's much harder to get souls to their Lord due to the lack of mortal souls in the frozen nebula.  

Dragons

Nurvareem

  A shadow dread dragon who was the "beloved" of mephiles, in reality he only kept her around a mate & subordinate but not someone he genuinely loves. It was easy to beguile her due to being rejected by nastrolog through her dread dragon need to be validated through her pride she worked tirelessly for her beloved and creator even going so far as to steal the legendary spear gungnir from Odin himself. She was an adequate subordinate keeping watch over the Dark Lands in his absence, keeping the people under his control when erebus & nyx died.

Nastrolog

  He didn't know nastrolog that much during the age of dragons but grew a hate for him ever since he freed dragons from the scale based alignments. He attempts to corrupt his daughter Amnemis Cainhurst due to her being corro and has caused some progress & turmoil.

Balagos & Verdania

  His two favorite dragons enforcers a male dread dragon & a female forest dragon. The two work well together and have genuine love for eachother something mephiles couldn't fathom but it kept them strong so he allowed it.   Balagos would go on to replace thales as wrath in the icons of damnation & verdania sloth taking the place of the nightmare lord. Mephilies had the most praise to them as Balagos's nuclear flames have harmed astra on many occasions and verdania managed to mind control many enemies under the noses of the olgrim family gaining knowledge and power until she was discovered.

Dominus Ghaul

  A prominent figure during the olgrim civil war. He was too much like mephiles making him a threat to the fell dragon, as he attempted to make mortal agents & enforces through mating with mortals making the angelic kephalos ghaul & demonic eudora ghaul. When he was killed, mephiles chose not to bring him back as he wouldn't be loyal.  

Creations

Sunam, The Soulless Abyss

  One of the first successful experiments involving the use of those with holy eyes as ingredients in the process retaining his sense of self and gaining immense power. Mephilies has fond memories of this experiment as he abducted him during the Age Of Light, and performed vile experiments on the holy eyed human, corrupting him with soulless ichor twisting and breaking his body to mold it into the shape he wanted turning him from a 5'5 human male to a 22ft. tall hulking brute with immense magical power.   Sunam became a powerhouse and terror to all mortals during the Age Of Dark until he was imprisoned by mephilies despite being a success in souless hybridization he retained his will and wouldn't bend to the will of the one who tore him from his people and twisted him into a monster. Mephilies simply kept him locked away only letting him out to cause bloodshed and carnage. Nightmare Lady   One of the first successful experiments involving the creation of sentient & powerful soulless and mephiles succeed through the biomass of pestilence giving the nightmare lady a zygote's ability to bond but with minds rather than bodies. She took up the mantle of sloth in the icons of damnation being able to lull others into deep slumbers. Mephilies adored her as she was a successful pure soulless experiment something that continually failed in the past although favor dwindled once the reapers became successful.

The Soulless Hecatonchires

  The most recent experiment of mephiles made during the Soulless Flare from frost giants being kept in souless ichor until the time was right. This experiment while a prototype was incredibly powerful and beloved by mephiles sparking his desire to make more of them.

R-0/Morigan

  R-0 is the first of the pure reapers born with the spirit of mephiles himself, who is supposed to be as cruel and heartless as he is an ideal son for mephiles. He worked under mephiles out of fear interacting with other races and civilizations learning about them and relaying the info to mephiles. Mephiles put R-0 through hell to make him strong but was disappointed when he didn't grow to be as strong as he wanted.   Morigan grew to despise mephiles and the rest of his "birth" family and grew to adore the life of other worlds wanting to protect the people instead of leaving them to mephiles. The two became enemies for eons R-0 was always a disappointment & mephiles being a soulless and awful father.

R-1/Empyrean

  The second pure reaper made by mephiles was also gifted with his sense of pride and superiority. Empyrean had a much better character in mephilies's eyes being a R-0 2.0 being seen as the model child of mephiles. The two are very close as mephiles taught empyrean all he needs to know & empyrean seeing mephiles as the only one he isn't superior to.

Mephiles is a smooth & charismatic talker always attempting to flatter others first. He will get hostile if those he speaks to are his enemies or aren't taken by the flattery.
