Epic Destinies
One of the parts I miss about D&D 4e was the inclusion of Paragon Paths and Epic Destinies. Having higher-level character options allows for players to create unique heroes and to help focus their growth. These options are meant to be taken in lieu of Ability Score Improvements or other feats.
An epic destiny defines your character's lasting impact on the world, and typically serves as the ending of its story.
