Bloodgrass Woods

Full of Bloodgrass, only found in these woods. The grass is poisonouse to touch and the woods are therefore advised against going into. Barely any animals live here, just birds and what few animals have learned to either avoid the Bloodgrass or have become resistant to it. A side effect of Bloodgrass resistance is red coloration since it is the poison that makes the grass red, and when neutralised, the poison leaves the red dye in the animals body. It is common belief that these red animals are also poisonouse but no proof of that exists. They are often refered to as Blood-animals, for example Blood-ferrets are a common sight in the woods.
The trees in the woods are not particulary valuable, they are slim and weak, many believe due to the close proximity to the Soundless Wetlands. Furthermore, the ground itself seems to be mostly clay and dirt, and as such is not seen as valuable. Although, in rare circumstances people have been known to venture into the woods to try and garther clay stained by the Bloodgrass. The clay neutralises the poison leaving it a nice red color that can be sold for decent money on the market.

Bloodgrass Woods is also known for having a high concentration of rare monsters that are resistant to poison. This too makes it dangerous to travel in the woods, despite most of the monsters being nocturnal. Many adventurers seeking glory have tried to go in to claim a monsters head as a price, but those that return never bring anything but wounds and horror stories back.
