Soundless Wetlands

The Soundless Wetlands are not like a regular swamp or marsh. Not only is it larger than any known swamp, but the very air itself is different. An unnatural silence fills the place, earning it its name, many believe this to be an effect of dark magic that presides over the wetlands. The silence has an actual effect on any who venture into the wetlands, muffling their sounds and making talking difficult over any amount of distance. This along with an almost constant fog makes it very easy to be lost, and many corpeses can be found in the wetlands from weary travelers or animals. 
The only thing that seems to be able to truly live here are monsters, especially those who thrive in water, and it is said to be the home of multiple dragons. No true value have been found in the wetlands, only the loot of those who died here. Yet people believe if they can find the center, there will be a structure with treasure. Rumors even go that the Kingdom of Clir is trying to map the wetlands in hopes of finding this treasure.
