Kingdom of Seartor

Founding Lineage: House Seartor
Current Monarch: King Halvar Seartor
Seat of Power: Tetherdeep
Title: Queen of Seator, Warden of the Forest

The Kingdom of Seartor remains under the ancient rule of House Seartor, one of the seven founding bloodlines appointed during the Draconic Mandate over six thousand years ago. The Seartori monarchy holds absolute authority within its borders, yet is traditionally restrained by a deeply ingrained code of honor passed down through generations.

The reigning monarch, King Halric Seartor, is regarded less as a ruler and more as a guardian of balance—between civilization and nature, secrecy and action, history and present need. His reign is marked by measured speech, ritual observance, and unwavering enforcement of the kingdom’s core tenets: secrecy, respect, and defense of their sacred forested homeland.

Culture

Seartoran society revolves around discipline, harmony with nature, and a quiet sense of purpose. Communities are deeply interwoven with their forest surroundings, often building into and around massive ancient trees rather than clearing them.

  • Values: Honor, self-sufficiency, stewardship, tradition
  • Architecture: Elevated walkways, vine-grown towers, forest-integrated homes
  • Education: All children undergo Waykeeping, a rite of maturity involving tracking, survival, and respect for the forest.

Assets

  • Tetherdeep Command Canopy: The fortified administrative and military hub of Seartor, built into the upper layers of the central forest canopy. It houses the Seartoran Rangers, military logistics, and secure communications networks. Highly camouflaged and defensively positioned.
  • The Javlon Bio-fabrication plant: A bio-industrial fabrication facility that blends natural materials with advanced tech, used to create Seartoran scout armor, silent MAVs (Magnetically-Assisted Vehicles), and hybrid energy weapons. Located beneath a mountain ridge to minimize ecological disruption.
  • Covenant Hall of the Quiet Branch: A cultural and philosophical repository built into a living cliffside. It serves both as a records archive and neutral ground for interkingdom diplomacy, spiritual practice, and Oathbinding rituals. Access is restricted to citizens or guests bearing Seartoran markings.
  • The Ironbark Docks: An elevated aerial platform-port hidden above the forest canopy. Acts as the main launch and retrieval point for MAVs, vertical freighters, and lev-trams connecting to greater Alagor.

History

The Kingdom of Seartor was founded by Elaith Seartor, one of the Seven reluctant monarchs appointed by decree of the Four Dragons. Elaith was a wanderer, a survivalist, and a quiet philosopher — not a ruler. But when the time came, he shaped his territory into a land guided by reverence for nature, self-discipline, and restraint.

Military

Seartor is famed for the Seartoran Ranger Corps, elite archers and trackers trained from adolescence. While few in number, they are devastating in guerrilla warfare, sabotage, and reconnaissance.

  • Known for long-range combat mastery
  • Battle formation: rarely massed, but operate in silent squads
  • The Shadow Boughs are a secretive unit capable of deep-realm operations across the Realm.

Trade & Transport

Seartor maintains a delicate balance between preservation and progress. Its technological systems are heavily cloaked in camouflage or integrated into natural formations, maintaining the illusion of untouched wilderness.

  • Primary Exports:
  • Organic synth-alloys used in silent glider frames
  • Biomimetic ranger gear
  • Genetic arboseeds: programmable flora used for eco-construction
  • Precision-crafted tech for field operations (Seartoran compasses, motionless drones, silent MAVs)
  • Transport Infrastructure:
  • Lev-Rail Connectors: Narrow elevated lines with low-visibility shielding that run through predetermined “silent corridors” in the forest canopy.
  • MAV Ports: Silent take-off/landing pads exist in treetop hubs, used for both domestic and diplomatic travel.
  • The Root-Line: A subterranean high-speed mag-tram that connects Seartor to Athomathia and Healfor while minimizing above-ground disruption.
  • Civilian travel inside the kingdom is typically MAV-based or foot traffic on woven skybridges connecting treeborne towns.
