Terrain & Climate
A low-lying expanse of bogs, stillwater pools, twisted trees, and dense fog. Mistmire’s wetlands remain shrouded in haze most of the year, with sunken paths and hidden roots beneath brackish waters. The air carries the scent of decay and distant herbs. Some pools reflect more than the sky — and some paths return travelers changed.Settlements & Locations
Beech Sadak – A small and tranquil dragonborn village nestled in the wetlands south of the Mistmire Swamps and north of Stonefell’s rugged coastline. Surrounded by fertile, albeit marshy, farmland, the village thrives on agriculture, with its residents cultivating hardy crops and raising livestock adapted to the damp environment. The village is known for its peaceful atmosphere, where wooden homes are raised on stilts to avoid flooding. The sound of croaking frogs and chirping crickets fills the air.Nerissa RavencLaw’s Candy Factory – Once veiled in illusion, this secluded facility exploited child labor under the guise of sweets. Now destroyed; its twisted architecture remains tainted. The graveyard next to the factory holds the names of those who made deals with Nerissa — bargains that involved both gifts and sacrifices.
Zemallali’s Lair – A cavern shaped like a skull, hidden in a natural crater near Beech Sadak. Kobolds and cultists once guarded its eerie tunnels and bioluminescent moss.
Blackreed Post – A raised wooden station built on stilts, used by hunters and root-gatherers.
Ghostroot Crossing – A narrow boardwalk through the deep swamp, lined with charms and old offerings.
Thallmere Pools – Still, green-slicked water basins where lights hover in the fog.
Narrowhold – A moss-swallowed ruin with submerged lower halls, believed to house ancient rites.
The Crooked Stone – A monolith sunken nearly to its crown, used in solitary rituals by swampfolk.
