The continent of Kaigara is full of verdant forests, lush plains, a variety of magical creatures, and many thriving nations. Long ago chosen as the home of the god Sheru, Kaigara became infused with magic and divine will. The fertile soil bursts forth crops at the slightest encouragement. Little effort is required to produce ample supplies of food, which has allowed the nations of Kaigara to swell with well fed citizens.
However, the land isn’t free from conflict. A great calamity broke the continent in two, and sparked a thousand year war between the gods called the Transcendent War, leaving the broken remains of cities and fortresses as skeletal reminders of the divine clash of forces. Most significant of all is The Deadland, a scorched waste of desert where nothing is capable of growing.
The expanding empire of Domoki threatens to plunge Kaigara back into its ceaseless war, though many cooler heads continue to counsel for peace. Time will tell if the diplomatic balance can last.
Gods walk among the people in physical form, influencing, inspiring, and sometimes ruling over them. In the vast wilderness, a variety of magical creatures live and thrive. Most people have some touch of arcane or primal power however slight. Kaigara breathes and thrums with raw magical potential.
