Yokubo

Born out of Sheru’s body, Yokubo is one of the two foundational gods of Kaigara. Before his physical form was shattered in his conflict with Kurai, he could shape shift between the forms of a sparrowhawk, a tiger, a hawk-tiger griffon, or a sky dragon. When Humans came to Kaigara, he adopted the appearance of a handsome pale skinned man with bronze colored hair, dark hawk-like eyes, and golden armor.

Yokubo is the god of creativity, desire, ambition, and the sky. After his emergence, he set to work, creating imaginative new magical creatures, griffons being his favorite of all. He longed for vibrant new experiences and the joys of creation.

While he coexisted peacefully with Kurai for a time, Yokubo became more and more frustrated with the death and decay she brought into Kaigara. Hearing rumors that she was speaking ill of him, Yokubo confronted Kurai on the top of the tallest mountain, leading to both assuming their dragon forms and fighting with all of their power. The destruction of their physical bodies, also destroyed the mountain, creating the island of Wakeru, and splitting the continent in half.

Of the Kodomo, Hanabi is his most devoted servant and took the role of Yokubo’s general in the Transcendent War. Hikaru, Sayaka, Jishin, Henka, and Tomi all chose to fight on his side. They also align with his philosophies.

Interesting note about the scales. I'm curious how that will develop.
