Time Skip Bomb
An esoteric bomb that was created in the distant past by Silver Age humans. While the exact mixture and components that make up the bomb are unknown, the effects are well documented because a few hundred of these bombs are still known to exist. By harness the chaotic powers of the Dark Lord Tarcur, this bomb will cause things caught in the blast radius to skip forward in time. To put it another way, they cease to exist on this plane of existence for a period of time until the chaotic energies of the bomb places them back in reality where they left.
These bombs are priceless and unbelievable difficult to acquire. The best way to get one is to explore ancient Silver Age ruins. These bombs are often sold for a very high price and have been famously used in political assassinations with numerous documented incidents over the millennia.
One of the most famous examples happened to the 30th Emperor of Irrelith was hit with one of these bombs along with his wife, son, and multiple imperial guardsmen. Everyone though they were removed from existence and thus killed.
People were quite surprised to see the son reappear a few weeks later with the wife, who was quickly crowned empress until the son was of age to rule. Over the next several years, various imperial guardsmen came back, seeing the empire change for the worse. Without the guiding hand of the emperor, the empress couldn't control things. The empire slowly fell apart.
On the son's 20th birthday, he was crowned Emperor, and as he was, the last of the imperial guardsmen came back, but the original emperor was still missing. The son tried for decades to steer the empire in the right direction again, but was never as effective of a leader as his father was. When the son was 96 years old, he finally passed away.
On that day, the original emperor returned. Instead of allowing his great grandson to take the throne, he took it instead, and brought the empire back from the brink of destruction. He ruled for twenty years this way, until he was hit with another time skip bomb. The emperor has yet to reappear.

Shattering this bomb will cause everyone and everything in a five meter radius to randomly skip forward in time. the amount of time each person skips forward is different and can be spread apart by years, decades, or even centuries.

"So funny story. I was actually hit by one of these bombs before. Me and Chryssa were walking through the streets of Lornar, when Iruakin assassins attacked us. They claimed to have a method of erasing the last golden human from this reality, even if temporarily, which would greatly please their lord Tarcur."
Their rather idiotic plan failed for two reasons. First, Chryssa might be the last Golden One and might seem like an easy target, but by edict of Silnos, God himself, you cannot erase a Golden One from existence and you cannot kill one unless that Golden One wills it on themselves.
Second, and I hate saying it... I am a descendant of Saint Nora! Time magic doesn't work on me. Trust me, I have tried. I once drank a time divider potion expection to slow down the world around me and it didn't work! Ren tells me that as a Vernador I am one of the few that can naturally cast time magic but I have to learn it myself... whatever!
Anyways, we were hit by this giant glowing ball of reddish energy. From the assassin's point of view we temporarily blinked out of existence and once the universe realised that was a big no-no, we blinked back in!
There were a few assassin's caught in the explosion as well. Unfortunately for them, they have yet to reappear. For the assassins that weren't caught in the explosion... They're dead.
