The Phoenix Four

The Phoenix Four/Five/Six is the name given by the adventuring press to a party based out of Cirithas. The group has been seen along the Dohirin Coast, in the Mycelian Collective, and off plane on Amavasya. Its membership has changed somewhat over its lifetime, but its permanent members have been Nyssa, Sandy, and Tana Serado. Currently, the party is working to defeat The Wanderer.  

History

 

Parthil

The party formed in Qilora in order to save a Rakansen monastery from local bandits. They were later forced to flee Parthil due to an unfortunate misunderstanding with the local branch of the Messenger's Guild.  

Celonar

After travelling through Northwest Cirithas and meeting a baby elemental named Andy, the party began taking jobs for the Celonar Adventurer's Guild, a now defunct organization led by a Paladin named Callie Greenstream. They investigated the murder of the dead goat guy, exorcised a ghost from the old city wall, and solved the Halfling temple's magical graffiti problem. They also met Zaluoh, a former party member of Alagalph's, during this time, and accompanied him to his homeland to kill a Hydra.  

The Burning Path

The party discovered that a group named the Burning Path was responsible for kidnapping Glirroth's wife Alagalph and set to work trying to find her. In the process, the party became involved in the Phoenix Incident. Though they didn't know it at time time, this garnered them a small measure local fame among adventurers in Northeast Laivra and earned them the title of The Phoenix Six. Their role in stopping the Phoenix Incident endeared them to the Hierophic Temple, who remained friends and supporters of theirs throughout the rest of their adventures.  

The Phoenix War

After spending a time apart, Nyssa, Sandy, and Tana were brought together again by a call for aid from Zaluoh. They were joined by a slate of new members before they headed into the swamp to defeat the Deviltongue Brutes, a mercenary company commanded by Prince Bhasarkana of Rohiz. Later, the party made common cause with the Rakshasa to defeat Suparsvi, another Rohizzan royal who was in league with The Wanderer. The Phoenix Six's role in ending the invasion of Senlimas was widely discussed in political and adventuring circles, making the party quite famous.  

North, South, East, & West

While trying to recover selective memory loss they incurred in an icy temple in Erek, the party took a number of quests compiled by their secretary Az Boldfinger. First, the party traveled to Daer Ethir to recover stolen magic items for a collector named Sweaty. Next, they went south to Arka in order to infiltrate the headquarters of the Messenger's Guild on behalf of Wilbur One-Ear. In the process of rescuing, they learned that the problems with Vrashyn's Bags of Holding were caused by a deal with Hermes gone wrong and witnessed a landslide that destroyed portions of Northern Arka. Using the ship that was their reward, they traveled to Masyros for the Loxian Games with the intention to keep any Ramanthi or Athradan competitor from winning the grand prize of an audience with the Oracle of Tsuvral.
