The Dragons Tale
The Dragons Tale is the most famous tavern on New Igneau. Opened by Brago when he first settled the colony, it brought more and more business south, until Brago was a bustling little trade town.
Purpose / Function
To serve as a hub for the town of Brago, serving drinks and food, as well as offering a place to sleep for travelers.
Design
A long rectangular room roughly 100' X 40' with flagstone floors and timber walls, the ceiling is exposed eaves.
Entries
Their are four ways in and out two lead to the lodging, two lead outside. Three windows, spaced evenly, on the east wall.
Sensory & Appearance
The room is often smokey from the many pipes being puffed on, the smell of stale mead and whiskey fill the nostrils.
Contents & Furnishings
A dozen round tables line the walls, two long tables filled the center of the hall. A large dart board in the corner next to the main entrance, a giant elks head mounted over the bar, pelts of various animals cover the walls.
Alterations
Originally just a one room tavern with a kitchen and a bar, The Dragons Tale expanded into a complex of rooms with a small courtyard in the center forming a U shape with the main hall at the back.
Architecture
The main hall is built like a viking long house with exposed timbers and eaves. Flagstones cover the floor.
