The Herbal Necronomicon
The evolution of magic is one that is eternal and in the last few decades a new form of school of necromancy has been discovered. Combining necrotic energy with spells that affect nature. These newly corrupted magic users refer to themselves as Herbal Necromancers and kept all their new experiments and secrets hidden inside the Herbal Necronomicon, defining a new age of dark sorcerers.
Origins:
The Herbal Necronomicon is a guide for sorcerers who have an affinity for mixing nature based magic and corruption. Co-written by the first seven sorcerers of their kind, The Sages of Death. Whether finding each by destiny or chance, the Sages joined forces and shared their knowledge into a singular grimoire. Containing incantations, rituals and recipes for any and all magic that would fall under the title of 'Herbal Necromancy'. The book contains several spells including those capable of conjuring monsters grown from False Seeds in a matter of minutes; the ability to share a consciousness with other willing beings and the ability to produce mass crops for a limited time. As time went on, some of the Sages began to see the danger of all this power in one place. With spells that could destroy everything they know. A plan was formulated by some of the members to steal the book and hide it where no one could find it. Whilst the renegade Sages were successful in stealing the book, distrust spread throughout the members. Causing the original seven to turn on one another. Some escaped. Others killed. But all of the Sages now search for the Herbal Necronomicon for selfish deeds. It's current whereabouts is unknown but many of the surviving members suspect it is in the city of Sianwood.
Oh it's a tragedy really. First my book disappears, then my spellbook. With no way of find either. What is a poor, defenceless, but still good looking woman of my age, suppose to do. Perhaps you could help me deary? Hm, what's that? The name of it? Well its the Herbal Necr... Er... The Spice of Life & Death: A guide on natural healing. Yes, that it.
