Ohar
The expanding fort, the final battle, birthplace of the New Age. Ohar, Capital of Cytal.
This is one of the newest cities to become established in Cytal, in honour of Oharius, leader of The 12 Commanders. As a sign of a new era, the city made a promise to create a peaceful and lawful city for any species to live in, whether capable of wielding magic or not. It doesn't matter here.
Originally the location was known as Fort Kasucian, a stronghold which the final battle of the civil war took place. But is now the primary location for the city's council and home of Mayor Baddorin. After being elected by the surrounding towns and villages, as well as recommendation by Oharius himself, Baddorin aims to create a beacon of hope to help those in need. From the tall and proud structure of stone, he set out to expand the city down and around the hill the fort sits upon. Watching as guilds such as Slab & Stone, Brass Charmers and Cart N Carts settle into building made to be strong but also add a splash of colour to the dark and grey landscape it once was.
Most of the business comes in the form of either blacksmithing, construction or trade storage. Meaning large buildings, warehouses and forgeries are sprinkled among the markets, shops and homes. With so many owners in the outer edges of the city, a new guild has forged in the form of Depo-Tees. A small council of owners to agree who takes what portion of the business coming in.
Whilst the city is full of defensive measures, the Alliance Guard are also present to ensure laws are kept to and defend the people of Ohar should an outside force ever try to endanger them. Patrolling locations such as the Commanders Armoury (a museum of weapons donated from the civil war), Shrine of Loss (A giant stone sword memorial) and the Kasucian Waystone.
