Dathil Elves

Yes, these are Dalish elves from dragon age pretty much.
Dathil elves are similar to the common wood elves of Vesax but notable for their unique culture and diminutive size. Unlike other Elves, the Dathil elves are a nomadic group, rarely ever living in one location for more than a few weeks.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Dathil elves are very similar to wood elves, but unlike wood elves, Dathil elves are shorter and slimmer than their Kin.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Roles among each clan are stringent and clearly defined. A keeper serves as a leader and spiritual guide, and working in tandem with them is a hahren, who reiterates the Dathil lore and tends to the children. Other important positions are being the designated warleader, hearthmistress and crafter. There is also a designated Halla Keeper. Dathil can also be a Hunter or a Healer. Each position has an apprenticeship stage, an example being how an elf must kill and present a beast of the forest all by themselves to become a fully-fledged hunter.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Dathil Elves have clans that can appear in almost any part of Vesax.

Civilization and Culture

Naming Traditions

Clans are named for the nobles from the Dathil homeland, who originally founded the clan. Every Dathil surname preserves a lineage from someone, though not necessarily a clan founder. One noble clan founder could start a clan with some Emerald Knights, who would also pass on their names (e.g. clan founder Sabrae with Emerald Knights Mahariel and Talas). As the Dathil often trade people between each other, not everyone in a given clan is a descendant of its founder, and as such doesn't necessarily bear their name.

History

Very little is known about early Dathil culture as their original homeland was the first territory conquered during the rise of Orstad. What little notes Orstad kept detail the Dathil having strange traditions.
One of the most notable references discovered by the Ennesland university relates to the references of "Emerald Knights", an ancient order of Hedge knights and warrior druids.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Despite their much smaller size, Dathil can sometimes be mistaken for Northern High elves due to the similar facial tattoos both groups tend to have. While for Northern elves these tattoos are for practical uses, for the Dathil these are religious with different patterns relating to different gods.
