Hraygoth the Unstoppable
Hraygoth the Unstoppable is also known as the Hero of Denton due to his historic link to this city. His fame primary comes from the tale that he personally ended the Dragon War. There are few reliable descriptions of him, but he was said to be physically imposing with golden hair. Little is known of his ultimate fate after the war.
Hraygoth was born and raised in Denton before striking out for a life of adventure and heroics. During the height of his career, the Dragon War began as the people of Darluna attempted to repel the second generation of Infernal Dragon conquerers. He personally struck down the last of the dragons on the peaks overlooking his hometown, ending the war.
Since these events, his sword, Doomsinger, has remained stationary in Denton to function as an omen to warn of the next dragon invasion. When he left the sword, he gave a prophesy, "So long as these stains remain, the sword shall rest in this place, and the world shall know peace from the reach of Tiamat." Because of this, it is beleived that the disappearance of the stains would be an indicator of Tiamat's returning influence. While it is unlikely that Hraygoth was a true prophet, magical examination of the sword confirms its likely ability to indicate the presence of Infernal Dragons.
