History of Urbûn

An index of major events with far-reaching effects on the history of the world.   The story of Urbûn is written by those that live in it. Their tales from the beginning of time are passed down to the next generation. Then their tales are written down and passed on once again. Through times of peace, discovery, war, and disease, this knowledge continues, with new stories being added to it. History is written by the victor, yet the victor stands upon the shoulders of giants that came before.   The story of Urbûn is ongoing. New heroes have yet to begin their adventure. It will only be a matter of time before their names and their tales are added to the ever expanding epic that is history.

Second Era

The previous age to the current one, The Second Era considered to be the begining of early modern times. During this time, magic became commonly utilized in life and life thrived. It was a golden age of heroes, of legends and myths where civilizations and cultures rose to prominence and power, forming the geopolitical foundation of many great powers that would later define the The Third Era. This time period was also the time in which stories of adventuring parties and tales of heros fighting dragons and great beasts were at a high. With culture and class, heroes began to emerge to carve their names into history through great acts of heroism or legend. Be it hunts for great mythical beasts, acts of great selflessness or saving a great many people, this age is well-documented and well-kept, and through these actions the newly resurgent civilizations surged and began to reclaim lost ground lost ages before, exploring the ruined high human cities and reclaiming was was truly lost so long ago.

    The Djinn Arival

    In 7800 AC, the djinn arrived (along with their genasi slaves from the elemental planes) in the area around where Domilia would later stand and founded the Dom'ahssid Empire; clearing much of the forest that previously stood as well as driving out the dragons and giants that ruled the area.

    Founding Of The Dwarven Realm of Khaz Glittrum Kadrel

    Clan Stonefoot discovered the mineral wealth of Skyspear Mountain and the colony became the ancestral home of the Mountain King. By AC 6599, it had become a Dwarven stronghold, where the Dwarves became a numerous and prosperous people. In this time, they became very rich and amassed a large amount of gold and treasure which included the Dwarven Thrower known as Brimstone.

    Barzulanor Wars

    Five bloody wars are fought between the Old Barzulanor Dominion, a remnant of the Noghronid Djerate and the greatest regional power of south-eastern Nahhron, and the Qyzharate — wars which Duryad wins with the help of its Gholdahar auxillaries, powerful navy and dragonborn heavy infantery. The Durish practice indentured servitude learned from the Barzulanor slavetrade.

    The Fifth Barzulanor War

    The Barzulanor wars end with the fifth war following the Submission of Zalhor in which the Barzulanor capital is utterly destroyed by the Qyzharate, as to ensure there would not be a sixth war. The Durish destroy the city's walls and streets with Warmages and naval bombardment and salt and sulfur the fields. The old domains of Barzulanor were incorporated into the Qyzharate, and the Dominion were assimilated into the empire. With the Zalbahri shattered, the Qyzharate expands its influence over the surviving Samyhrate of Arusad, Denokid Sultanate and other remnants of the Naghronid Djerate

    The Conquest of the Three Petty kings

    Alsor known as The Last Roar of The Magnificent. The Qyzharate of Duryad expanded through conquest of the southern reaches of the continent, uniting the remining states of the Naghronid Djerate under the banner of Duryad. Dahrmuyahd I "the Magnificent" el Zinad, dies of old age and sustained injuries shortly after and is buried in the royal crypt of Djerad Sikta.

    The Ardullearic War
    Military: War

    The nation of the Dralientine Principality and the City-states of the Ardullearic Highlands fought a lengthy war after relations worsened to the point of armed conflict. In fourteen years' time Dralio subdues and unites six of the seven kingdoms of Westeros under their banner and many of the leaders of the northern cities are executed, to ensure there would not be any uprisings, revolts or rebelions following their subjugation.

    The Great Calamity
    Era beginning/end

    For a long, long time, the world of Urbûn's most powerful and influential inhabitants were the mighty mages. That all changed when the Black Bloods, under the tyrannical rule of Salvador Bronson sought to destroy The Weave, and end the existance of magic, forever. The Spell Purge, commonly known simply as the Great Calamity, brought the world to turmoil. Entire cities were destroyed, landscapes transformed forever, countless lives were lost. It was only by disintegration the Undying Tyrant, at the hands of Brandt Korbinan von Aschenfeldt with the assitance of Kathlín Wyntrsolv Borgrimsdottir, Michael "the unbroken"Evergreen Jojima Lord Derek Wildman of Lövensitz and King Berk Mountainborn I of Ironspire Hall during the Battle of The Alliance of Salvation, thus ending Salvadors regin, that disaster came to a close, and a new Era began. This turning point in most civilizations also marked the beginning of the Corbûnian calendar for centuries to come.

The Third Era is a period of global history considered to be the begining of modern times. Being the era of current times, marking  the transition from the Second age of mythical hero-kings, to modernity. It is characterized by a revival of ideas from the classical and post-classical ages meant to surpass the previous ages.

    Shaa'douin Grand Sultan Assassinated
    Political event

    Grand Chaliph Akbaru Toma III, leader of the Toma Grand Chaliphate was assassinated inside the palace of Domilia by a jhasina (harem slave) Malira adh Rashid, she calaimed that al-Hadad had promised to free and marry her. al-Nasir denied all claims that he had coerced the harem slave into murder and had her immediately beheaded after a brief trial.

This devastating campaign was later called the Seven Scorchings, because seven al-badia tribes in the region, including the Eaqarab and Qarabut, were put to the torch.
