Formed by some sort of magical onslaught by the warlock
Lokz in 122 Fey, The Burning Forest is a large area in the southern
Dread Forest. A tear on the northern edge is said to be the source of the burning.
Origin
Said to be created by accident by what must've been the most unlucky magic user Undinia had seen. The continual magical overload created a planer tear to the plane of fire. Through this tear, fire magic flowed to the nearest source of heat, the newly formed volcano. The Efreeti,
Zumil, came through the tear, keeping it open and making his lair up at the volcano.
The Tear
An orange glowing tear at the north end of the area links through directly to a volcanic temple on the plane of fire, situated at the edge of the planer fire causing few creatures to venture through, though it did start gaining attention. After it was closed on the 18 Zabar, 122 Fey, a large red/orange crystal stood where it was.
Burning trees
The area between the tear and the volcano is a stretch of permanently burning trees called
Emberwood trees. These trees never seem to burn down.
Volcano
A small volcano that bubbles with lava across the surface, eventually sinking into the sea. The settlement of
Artif sits around the chanel between the forest and volcano.
