Earth and Colonial Defense Force
The Earth and Colonial Defense Force (ECDF) is the primary armed service of the Union of Earth and her Colonies. The ECDF is headed by the Minister of Defense, who is appointed by the Chancellor of the Union.
Structure
The Defense Force is divided into three primary branches. These are the Colonial Garrison charged with law enforcement and defense in the Colonial Administration, the Grand Union Army which serves as the primary ground force and as orbital defense, and the Grand Union Spacefleet which is charged with defense of interstellar travel and space combat.
