Moons of Kandairad
To the city of Kandairad are attached three massive chains, with each link well the size of a medium sized house in the city below. Attached to each chain is a single, enormous, levitating, black sphere, known by the locals as the Moons. The southern moon is attached at the foot of the temple ward, near the gardens, the northern chain is attached to the sheer cliff face beneath the royal palace, and the western sphere is chained to beneath the headquarters of the Kandaran police.
Western Moon
The western moon is the least mysterious, yet to an extent also the most feared. Also known as the prison moon, it houses all those who break Kandaran law (or get on the bad side of Jaroka qala-Kandra). There, mages are kept until they become Mejad'vadi or die, either by execution or otherwise. Non-public executions are also done in the prison moon. The only point of entry and exit are two teleportation circles within the whiteguard headquarters; one for entering and one for exiting, both of which are guarded fairly heavily. Teleportation in and out of the sphere is not possible, as is low level magical communication such as "message". The prison moon is broken up into several sections. The outer ward houses the most petty of criminals, with those in for execution being in the second level, and mages being on the third. While casting is seen as an abomination, the prison moon makes great use of magic in many forms. Teams of whitecloaks with Mejad'vadi as well as magic-annulling shields are stationed as guards. There are also automatons which keep guard vigilantly at important passages such as transitions between levels.
