Session 61: Melody Way
General Summary
15th-32nd Day of Autumn
Synopsis
- The party were at the druid grove in the Drifting Sands desert and most had breakfast together. Some asked Quella if they could use the time pool.
- Caz used the time pool, anchored by his sister and Axel. There, he went to try and learn who killed his mother. The memory however, was tainted by a woman named Kallana Mallizerion, powerful enough to shift the druid pool's memory.
- Zilla went into the time pool, anchored by Ginny and the blade. There, he went to the day that Laura died, a young girl who was locked away by the Branders with him. There, Zilla once again watched the scene unfold, but found closure in it. He told Dr. E that he was coming for him.
"I'm sorry I failed you" ~ Zilla to Laura
"As for you. This is you sealing your own fate... I already know about the lab in the tree, the ones in the desert, the ones in the mountain" ~ Zilla to Dr. E
- When Anton slid into the Dream Pool, with some of the party and the World Staff as his anchors, he tried to find memories lost to him, of where he came from. He saw a woman with purple hair, and those same celestial, vast eyes of the planeswalkers, and a man who dropped him in Gyra. He saw when he was corrupted, and felt that searing pain. The dive was frightening when Anton phased in and out.
- The party travelled to Melody Way, and on the travel encountered treant like cacti on the way
- Finally, they arrived at melody Way. Zilla noticed the awful of wolfsbane and silver. The refugees rejoiced and found a place to stay at the tavern.
- Axel visited the small church dedicated to Lady Luck where he had quite the encounter. There, he prays and yet again has the door to the Hearts & Clubs casino revealed to him. Inside, he spots the strange figure in the rabbit mask. She guides him to the "office" of the Lady of the House. He instead steps into a field full of four leafed clovers and meets Lady Lucky officially. She warns him of the games they will play
- Beau walks around for some time before crossing paths with Valerian and Lilith. They are attempting to help the music shop owner, motto, move a piano from his second floor to sell to the mayor of the town. Beau helps with a pulley system, and Valerian carries the piano to the mayors. The same mayor who very openly hits on Valerian, despite the height difference. Lilith confesses that she can't blame him, accidentally revealing her own thoughts to Beau and Valerian
- People gather at the beach for a picnic and food that Zilla and Kallie gather where Caz and Anton finalise some language lessons.
- Axel visits Violet's parents house, his hardest stop and main reason for wanting to go to Melody Way. There, he tells them of their daughter's death. Soon after, he found himself breaking down in a quiet divide between barns.
- Axel finally visits Motto, the music store owner, and long time friend of Axel's. Motto invites him and his friends to dinner, and Axel goes to tell everyone where he explains his complicated day.
