Manufacturing
The manufacturing/cultivation of the Acra Coral mesh sheets, the primary component of Trian wastewater treatment facilities, is relatively straightforward but requires a certain level of infrastructure and expertise to be done at scale. There is one major and three minor Trian corporations that produce these sheets, all based in the heartland of the FTPR on Tria's eastern continent. The Trian goverment allows limited amounts of these to be exported offworld but has worked hard to keep these corporation's manufacturing processes well guarded from other species.
Social Impact
Although many worlds clean their waste water to varying degrees (health and planetary stewardship being strong motivators), the speed at which the Trian people have been able to modernize this aspect of their infrastructure has been rather remarkable.
Historians have attributed much of the FTPR's success in pushing back the Sibran government's influence to innovations such as the Acra Coral wastewater treatment equipment; innovations that rapidly improved the health and wellness of both the Trian people and their lands leading to increased productivity per capita compared to the Feln population.
Access & Availability
While nearly every modern Trian settlement employs some level of water treatment, the cost and expertise to maintain Acra Coral purification systems limits the availability of the technology to the individual. It is primarily used by governments and larger private organizations.
Discovery
In yet another case of Trian ingenuity, this surprisingly scalable water treatment process was first developed on Tria while still under UFFR occupation. Some Feln had imported Acra Coral to the world for use in their private acquariums and a sample of this new species made its way to the Trian resistance movement. Several years of tinkering and experimentation later, the resistance had developed several prototypes of portable water purification devices that utilized this coral. Following the eventual reclamation of their world, the designs continued to be refined and eventually Trians began mass production of Acra Coral purification systems for use in permanent facilities throughout their society.
