Synod of Cogs

Culture

To build is to pray to THULAH. Nails for homes, inventions of practicality, or rebuilding ancient technologies are all worthy of progress. One must always remember that anything made eventually can, and will, be lost to time. Do not allow this to discourage you. Share the knowledge, for to teach each other is the ultimate machine at work.   Gnomes originally founded this order. Thus, they generally will keep in charge of many branches.   Often the order will split into two main factions. Those trying to accomplish new feats using the integration of magic, alchemy, and industry. And those who often search for and study ancient artifacts. That being said, they will gladly help each other for the greater cause. Such as to provide wide resources of research, or to lend out new excavating equipment.   Books and scrolls are often prized by the Synod. Both for the obvious potential of new knowledge, and for the overall enjoyment of learning. The latter a common trait among the followers. Though, some may be more incline to hands on experiences.

Public Agenda

They wish to build the world up. Either through new invention, or by bringing life to ancient technologies.   Towns and cities hurled through natural disasters, and the like, are rebuilt if possible.    New ways are often sought to tame nature. Ideally to allow all to benefit from the constants of industry.   Spread academia throughout Totius.

Assets

They have centuries of research at their disposal. Much from constant explorations, donations, purchases, and even published works from their own esteemed members.   This is often the case in regards to inventory of magical and mechanical items. Though, many are less likely to be leant outside of their respective holding buildings. For obvious reasons.
