Suidonta Synthae
(Soo · uh · daan · tuh - Sin · thai) "Fused Swine Tooth"
Sub-Genus of the Suidae Korna Genus, within the
Suidae family
Basic Information
Anatomy
To adapt to a mainly Carnivorous diet, Korna Suidonta's teeth and tusks have begun to fuse together. Allowing the fangs to pierce thick hides while the lined up enameled plates sheer through flesh and bones alike. In addition, their jaws have strengthened and widened for more muscle to connect. Much like that of hippos. This structure has proven to be highly effective in crushing ridged objects. Including the skulls of their prey, rival's horns, or mineral deposits within rock beds.
Ecology and Habitats
As predators and scavengers they prefer to take advantage of terrain to allow tactics of surprise. Such as forests, boulder mazes, and tall grasslands. Intelligent in nature, they take advantage of whatever abilities they possess. Tending to strengthen them with each generation until specialized into an environmental niche.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Almost entirely Carnivorous to the point that they are known to have high resistances to foodborne illnesses. Making carrion available to most species. Or, even preferred to some.
