Drake

(Dreik) "Of Dragons"   A group of Draconids that diverge from a primitive ancestor of Wyverns and Dragons.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Wingless, four-legged draconic creatures. Often ranging between the sizes of horses, to that of cats. Though, the former are more common. Generally have tough scales, strong jaws, sturdy legs, and long bodies.

Genetics and Reproduction

All lay eggs. How often depends on the species, but most that are selectively bred by more sentient beings will generally gestate at least once a year.

Ecology and Habitats

Due to their quick adaption within a few generations, Drakes are found in practically every part of the Prime Material Plane. Some have even done well on other Planes.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Most are Carnivorous. Some can be Omnivorous. The few ancestors that became Herbivores are now considered a new group known as Thyrakes.
