Characteristics
Mental traits
Kegan of Raskam was an angry man, bitter toward the people of his home for how they treated him and his mother. He had a violent temper and often lashed out with shouting or blows. After his descent into the lower planes, he became a pyromaniac driven by hunger for power, obsessed with fire and the thought of burning the world to ash.
History
Early Life
Kegan of Raskam was born in the
Duchy of Freed, in the settlement of Raskam. His mother worked as a healer, while his father was a sailor who never stayed to raise him.
The townsfolk shunned Kegan and his mother, sparing them only because of her skill as a healer. Kegan grew up mocked, called names, and often forced into fights. His only friend was Sivra, a girl whose family had moved to Raskam. The two grew close and for a
Time were lovers, though their bond eventually broke—most likely because of Kegan’s unrelenting anger at those who mistreated him.
Banishment
When his mother died, Sivra told him that the townsfolk of Raskam wanted him gone. In grief and fury, Kegan agreed to leave but swore he would return one day with enough power to reduce the settlement—and the whole region—to ashes.
Kegan craved strength, greater than any mortal could wield. But he refused to bow as a servant to some patron; he had lived too long as the servant of Raskam’s cruelty. His search for power drew him to the Seven Hells. Through a portal he entered
Luxuria, and from there pressed deeper into that damned plane.
On the edge of death, his body seared and his soul torn, Kegan struck a bargain with Aaron, who offered him the fire he longed for. This pact left him burning with power—literally aflame with sorcery. But it was not enough. Even now, Kegan continues to wander the Seven Hells, searching for greater might and ever more fire.
