Characteristics
Physical features
Juiblex is, in short, disgusting, undoubtedly hideous to demons of all kinds and perhaps the most foul of all demon lords and deities. Its abhorrent aura is as foul as its sickening, shapeless form, a primordial soup of bubbling bile and nauseating fluid bound by a thin epidermis bathed in oil and thick mucus.
The amorphous mass is swirling and striating with a hideous mixture of hues, primarily streaks of black and green. Caustic slime of the same coloration is constantly secret from the sludge-spewing horror and it's known to weep tears of encrusting black grime from the glaring eyes that pulsate and shift across it, peering in all directions.
The Faceless Lord is an appropriate name for the gelatinous monster since it lack any kind of set form, adopting various sizes and shapes with ease. At rest, it is nothing more than a spread-out volume of reeking filth but at any point it could form a simple blob or gather together into a 18‒20 ft (5.5‒6.1 m) pillar of unsteady ordure before collapsing into a rancid wave and stretching out into a voluminous pool of animate ooze.
Most commonly however, when confronted by others, it gathered itself into a hideous heap, a 9 ft (2.7 m) cone of glistening jelly and shuddering slime. No matter the form, it could manifest dripping, trembling pseudopods in all directions to lash out and hungrily scoop up any creature that caught its attention.
Before its fall, Tharizdun was depicted as a winged woman, long smoky red hair hovering over her slender face, four large and dark wings carrying her, as her four arm were pulling the string over the lives of mortals.
Mental traits
Regarding Juiblex's own goals, he is possibly the easiest of the demon lords to understand purely because his desires are so simple and uncomplicated. Rarely did he need to bother plotting and planning because he is normally content just to continue existing, his only active goal being the corrosion of anything he could reach. The malevolent monstrosity cares little for intrigue and hates practically everything, perhaps enjoying only the act of destruction, and occasionally rumbling with some approximation of amused laughter with his more sadistic moves.
If Juiblex could be said to have a grander, more philosophical mission, then it would be his ordinary goal on a greater scale, to dissolve all living things, flooding all of existence in his pestilent putrescence and leaving his shapeless reflections as the only remaining lifeforms. Relatedly, Juiblex is something of a recluse, rarely leaving his lair and reacting with violent anger at any intrusion. The oozes and slimes he surrounds himself with are the only beings that interest him outside of the context of consumption and corruption, and his vicious subjects quiver with something akin to pleasure when their Faceless Lord is near.
Abilities
If a creature spends 1 continuous minute in contact with the slime of Juiblex, their flesh devolves into a translucent primordial state. The creature loses their memories and sense of self, becoming a slime servant NPC who is loyal to the Juiblex.
Worship
Worshiper
Those who are foolhardy enough to follow such twisting destruction are often spurned, hateful, and chaotic souls who fall through the cracks of society. A bit of inherent madness left unchecked opens the door to the creeping void that draws those who worship this entity.
Only the truly insane worship Juiblex and tend to its slimes and oozes. Those who offer themselves up to the demon lord are engulfed by it and become vaguely humanoid, sentient oozes. The bodies of these former flesh-and-blood creatures form Juiblex’s extended physical body, while the demon lord slowly digests and savors their identities over time.
Lair
Juiblex’s principal lair is known as the Slime Pits, and is part of
The garden, a realm which Juiblex shares with
Tal Iss. This layer of the Abyss, is divided in two, the body garden controlled by Tal Iss, and the Slime pits controled by Juiblex, a bubbling morass of oozing, fetid sludge. Its landscape is covered in vast expanses of caustic and unintelligent slimes, and strange organic forms rise from the oceans of molds and oozes at Juiblex’s command.
History
Goddess of death
Tharizdun is an ancient entity. She was the goddess of death long before
Neltharion took her spot. Many say, she dreamed of eternal war and slaughter, just for the sake of entertainment. As the goddess with control over death itself, she was incredibly powerful, but had little use for such power with nothing to do.
She imagined the demons into existence, dreaming of them, as a race with an insatiable bloodlust, with envy for destruction and death above everything else, hoping to see what those monsters would bring to the world, how they would entertain her. Yet, the demon were powerless, sealed in the eternal abyss, they honed their skills, and killed each other endlessly, but never could they access the realm of mortals, Toriel.
Yet, after
Corellon Loth mistake, a breach between the prime material realm and the abyss was created, and the horde of demon started to poor into Toriel. Tharizdun watched amazed, as the
War of the Ancients made more and more victims.
When other gods joined the battle and schemed on their own, she was hateful of their actions. How could they interfere in her plans. Yet, she was amazed by their betrayal, their plot, and their corruption.
Nozdormu was captured by the goddess of death, who could feel her incomming demise. Nozdormu spoke the truth to her, revealing that her downfall was imminent. However, he warned that it would not result in her demise but in a fate worse than death itself.
Neltharion attacked the goddess of death, part of his plan to take over the other dragon-god, and with the help of
Vanadon-Necroth they killed the goddess of death.
Twisted form
What remained of the goddess’s consciousness was cast into the deepest layer of the Abyss. Fuming with rage and chaos, it shattered, twisting her mind into madness. Her essence clung to the abyssal ichor, forming a grotesque, writhing body—the terrible form known today.
As Juiblex’s power grew, only one thought consumed her: vengeance against Neltharion.
