Characteristics

Mental traits

While Corellon shared the elven trait of pride that could border arrogance, this never got the better of him. He was a god with an endless willingness to learn from others and acted on it, even including mortals in his sources of discovering new information, methods, and philosophies.

Abilities

Corellon was a master swordsman and a powerful mage. He expertly wielded his longsword and longbow and could cast spells from all spheres and schools. He could cast any ritual of elven high magic.   Corellon was immune to everything that inhibited his ability to move, caused wounds, or tampered with his mind, as well as to all illusion spells.

History

Corellon is the first elf that stepped onto the material plane, eager to share the discovery of this new world with his fellow elves, he looked for ways to open and widen the rift between the planes. His power, untamed on this new world, was great, and with time and effort, Corellon understood the intricate work of the weave, and how it was connecting the planes. With the correct redirection, with a big enough perturbation, he knew he could open large portals to other planes, and he started to experiment.   [h2Prelude of the War of the Ancients

Elven Mistake

But his action were not without consequences, and when he hopped into the Abyss, not knowing what it was, he had to fight for his life. Escaping the legion of demons, he ran away, and out of the planes, but it was already too late, and the Demon started to rip and tear the breach to the material plane, pouring into Toriel, this marked the beginning of the war of the ancients.

War of the ancients

Battle of Kenabres

4955 BD This battle marks the first major conflict of the War of the Ancients and serves as a significant moment in the war. Kenabres, a Human city just outside the Abyssal Rift, is attacked by the forces of the Demonlord Batara. The city is heavily damaged, and the city's defenses are overwhelmed by a demon army.   Corellon Loth is caught in the middle of the attack, and the city is soon lost to the demon, the local Jarl son, Achille Orrin, leading the survivors despite his young age, as Corellon help him.

Elven Allies

late 4955 BD   Corellon finally managed to open a portal to the Feywild for his kind to get in Toriel, telling them about his mistake. And thus, the first elves became warriors against the legion of demons, fighting alongside the humans and the young Jarl Achille.

Siege of Vexinoth

4939 BD through 4936 BD   The Siege of Vexinoth is one of the most important military campaigns in the war of the Ancients. Vexinoth is a former draconic city turned into a demonic stronghold after it was captured and mostly leveled during the battle of Vexinoth.   Corellon Loth and Achille gathered like-minded mortals and led an assault to reclaim the city, facing a protracted siege by demonic forces, demonic general under the orders of Batara defending the city for years.   After a long and bloody siege, Corellon Loth and Achille manage to retake the city, although the victory comes at a great cost for the mortals

Siege of the Abyssal Gate

4933 BD through 4930 BD   After the crusade forces reclaim Vexinoth, and bolstered by their success, they attempt to attack demon controlled territories near the abyssal rift, especially as recent information suggest demons are opening more rift to allow more reinforcements.   This siege occurs at a major demon-held fortress located on the edge of the abyssal rift. The fortress, known as the Abyssal Gate, serves as a key portal for demonic forces to enter the material plane. Corellon Loth and Achille lead an assault to close the gate and sever the flow of demonic reinforcements.   A small legion of dragons, who refused to hide, unlike their gods, use this opportunity to launch an assault directly into the abyss. Talonixa leads her small legion into the abyss, but he and her troops are never heard of again after this day.

Aftermath

Allies Blessing

4921 BD Nozdormu placed an enchantment upon the elves, who were the most remarkable of mortal troops during the war. The elves would now age incredibly slowly.   Similarly, Alexstrasza, god of Life, took notice of the humanoid who fight alongside the dragon, believing the weak mortal should be educated, Some of her fellow dragon began to argue believing that these new people were dangerous and should be destroyed, while others of Alexstrasza's ilk felt they should be educated to teach them right from wrong.

Ascencion to godhood

With the prayer in his name echoing all over the world, and a whole race worshipping the one that allowed them to step a foot on those land, Corellon was born anew, as the first elven gods. Graced with this divine power, he made an oath to protect the elves and did everything in his power to provide them with the safety they deserved. Blessing those who killed the threat to his kind, approving of those chasing evil away, and became angered at those who defiled the dead.

The Orrin Era

During the Orrin era, the elves developed into multiple kingdoms, forming various communities, and calling themselves protectors of their land, Corellon was proud of them. After the Nexus Overflow, and the weave infusing every been on Toriel, the humùan started to grow stronger with this magic, experimenting with mightier spells, and bigger inventions. Corellon, as an explorer who visited the planes of this world, developed a new gift for those he protected, the Elven High magic. As strong as what the human use, the elven high magic requires important rituals, and the communion of the elves to be operated, but can match even the strongest spell in might and range.

The great Extinction

With this new gift, the elves were able to protect their city, hiding them among the forest. But little did Corellon knew this wouldn't be enough, as the greed of man was unstoppable, they provoked a disaster. Known as the great extinction, human experimentation gone wrong whipped many, if not almost all of the mortals on Toriel. Corellong cursed the human and quickly created a plan for his kind. Opening portal to the feywild all over the world, allowing the elves to retreat. The god then took upon himself to destroy each and every single one of the elven portals to the feywild, leaving only ruins where the elven city once stood.   Then, the war between the giants and dragon struck, Corellon, relieved that he assured the retreat of his people, watched as Toriel was reduced to this terrible state. But, when the war was fizzling out, and the mortal could start to grow again, Corellon was ready, Opening a rift to the west, where the elves came back to the material plane, ready to take back the lands that were once in their possession.

The Great Reunion

They first reconstructed Megima, and started to spread. But, the human also took that opportunity to expand. The great reunion cost the elves dearly. Their kingdoms were forced into submission, and a great part of their forest was turned to ash. Even though their bows were precise, they were outnumbered and unable to defend themselves on all fronts as war-hungry armies burned their sheltering forests. Corellon cursing, as he grows to hate the human that dares to attack his people. Blessing the rare resistance that refused to be ruled by the humans.   With the conflict now over, Corellon still hold a grudge for the human, but focus on the protection and care of his kind. Corellon is said to often wander incognito on Toriel to observe priests and craftsmen, and is even known to take a direct hand in protecting elven borders. As a general rule, he watch over the elven race as a guardian.

Family grudge

Nymue, having ascended as the Archdevil of Gluttony, is consumed by bitterness and regret for her past actions. The centuries of torment, Grolantor's betrayal and her transformation into a devil has warped her. Corellon, her father, becomes a symbol of everything she has lost—innocence, love, and her place among the elves.   Nymue sees Corellon’s unwavering devotion to the elves as both noble and naive. She believes his love for them has blinded him to their flaws and caused him to neglect her suffering. Her emotions are complicated. Despite her bitterness, a part of her still seeks Corellon’s recognition and approval. She schemes a plot to kill her father, serving both as revenge and as a desperate cry for his attention.   Using her cunning and devilish powers, Nymue devises a long-term scheme to lure Corellon into a trap. She exploits the elves’ distrust of her to manipulate events in her favor. she starts by spreading rumors of a growing demon resurgence near elven lands, knowing Corellon will act to protect his people. Disguised as a repentant former demon, Nymue manipulates the elven leader of Syngorn into summoning Corellon for aid. She pretends to be working against a new demonic threat, earning their reluctant trust.   Nymue orchestrates the opening of a rift to seven hells, disguising it into a rift to the abyss. From the gates of hell, her devils, disguised as demons pour into Syngorn, forcing Corellon to intervene personally. As Corellon intervenes, he understands the trickery, aware that this rift leads to the seven hells, but before he can warn the elves of the betrayal of their demonic advisor, he is pulled into the seven hells. Unaware that his daughter is behind the plot, Corellon fights the legion of devils waiting for him in this unfavorable terrain. The god of the elves fully intends to close the rift and protect the elves, but Nymue finally arrives. She reveals her true form and intentions, a reunion between a father and his daughter as both have changed in the last millennium.   Nymue confronts her father with accusations of abandonment, neglect, and hypocrisy. She mocks his failure to save her from corruption and his inability to protect their people throughout history. A tragic battle ensues between father and daughter. Corellon, reluctant to fight Nymue, tries to reason with her, but her rage and infernal power overwhelm him.   As the battle reaches its climax, Corellon, weakened by guilt and the emotional toll of fighting his daughter, falls. With his dying breath, Corellon forgives Nymue, telling her he never stopped loving her and expressing hope that she will one day find redemption.   The elves feel the shock of their god’s death through the planes. His divine essence is snatched by Brandobaris who becomes the god of journey and freedom in addition to thievery and adventure. Nymue is left hollow, her vengeance fulfilled but her pain unrelieved. The act of killing Corellon shatters the last vestiges of her elven identity. She retreats to her infernal domain, consumed by sorrow and self-loathing.   Unlike her other victims, Nymue did not consume her father's soul, keeping it trapped within her domain, Nymue watched her father's soul with sorrow and bitterness: Even in death he couldn't bring her happiness.
