Dreamgrove

Dreamgrove is the lair of Merithra, goddess of dream, in the feywild. It serves as a pelerinage place for many feys, who seek the grove as a final resting place.   The dramgrove is built within the clouds and is a vast and ever-shifting cloud of nature magic that defies mortal perceptions of reality. Time and distance hold no meaning in this intangible realm, and a day in the physical world can feel like decades in the Dream.

Getting there

The Dreamgrove can be visited in dreams or in the flesh. Although the fey can just physically get on the dreamgrove, accessing the Dreamgrove via more conventional magic is possible, but the natives do not look kindly upon intruders.   Some creatures cannot help but dream of the plane and find themselves there without any preparation or conscious intent; these dreaming creatures arrive in the Dreamgrove and often have prophetic and helpful visions. Other creatures intentionally use dreams to reach the Dreamgrove, such as the worshippers of Merithra.

Description

The dreamgrove is a realm that is primarily spiritual instead of physical. All who enter the Dreamgrove can affect it to a minor extent, but only temporarily: the underlying structure of the Dreamgrove inevitably reasserts itself.

Creatures & Denizens

The entire plane is the dominion of Merithra, the dragon goddess of dream, and she ensure that none despoil this paradise.   Nature is in a perfect balance in the Dreamgrove. Animals of all types inhabit the dreamgrove. Many fey creatures, such as sprites, dryads and keepers of the grove, also roam the Dreamgrove.

Features

The dreangrove drifts at an altitude of 1700 meters at 8 miles per hour (80 feet per round). During her turn Merithra can cause the dreamgrove to ascend or descend 100 feet, can stop the dreamgrove, or can change the dreamgrove’s speed, to a maximum of 12 miles per hour (120 feet per round), in a direction of Merithra’s choice.
