Dikaiosyne

Dikaiosyne, the Silver Heaven, is the first and most open layer of Mount Olympus, the layer of Prudence, practical wisdom and good judgement. It serves as the gateway for travelers arriving from the mortal world, welcoming souls before they begin their ascent through Mount Olympus.

Geography

Dikaiosyne lies beneath a sky of deep midnight blue, scattered with bright stars the lantern archons say are the souls of the righteous, risen to the summit of Mount Olympus. This first realm spreads over the vast Silver Sea—a wine-dark gulf teeming with creatures both divine and mortal. From its blessed waters rise tall pillars of alabaster, like columns of marble from a temple, upon which citadels and strongholds stand.   The most famed among these are the Beacon Towers, manned by vigilant lantern archons who watch for threats from the lower planes. Beyond the sea, Dikaiosyne’s land is gentle: rolling hills and shallow valleys replace the harsh peaks of the higher layers. The starlight bathes the landscape in a soft, constant glow, banishing all shadow.

Bastion of The Fallen Angel

In a shadowed valley on Dikaiosyne’s slopes lies the Bastion of the Fallen Angel—a place heavy with sorrow. Here once stood the fortress of Zariel, an Archon who betrayed the gods to join Asmodeus, lord of the infernal realms. Her love for the lord of the Seven Hells severed her from the heavens, and she tore open a rift to Luxuria, the first layer of Hell, which she now commands.   The fortress has fallen to ruin, and the rift still yawns open. The once proud warriors who guarded this place have vanished, leaving behind only echoes and restless spirits. Travelers avoid these haunted paths, heeding warnings from those few who know its dangers.

Caecus Carcer

On Dikaiosyne’s shore stands the Caecus Carcer, a grand fortress built by Bahamut, the platinum Dragon, as a place of hope and judgment. Here, some who have fallen to evil may find redemption.   Prisoners are bound with radiant cloth that blinds them, marked with the prison’s crest. They are kept in solitary cells under constant watch by lantern and warden archons. Their crimes and progress are recorded in the Codex Caecus, a great golden tome. Though the prison’s goal is rehabilitation, no prisoner has yet fully returned to the light.   Beneath the fortress, darker cells hold abominations too fearsome to be freed or healed. For these, only containment remains.

Platinum Palace

The Platinum Palace, a majestic stronghold, hovers above Dikaiosyne, suspended by the divine hand of Bahamut. This resplendent citadel is a testament to Bahamut's unwavering dedication to honor and justice.   The Platinum Palace's features sweeping columns and majestic arches. The citadel's walls are adorned with intricate carvings depicting the myths of old, while its halls resonate with the sweet melodies of lyre. The citadel's grandeur is a reflection of Bahamut's own magnificence, as he descends upon the citadel's central courtyard to deliver his proclamations.   A legion of Archons knights train on the palace grounds in loyal service to their master. The Platinum Palace is a place where great ideals are held in high regard, and since they literally fly above the ground a true sense of arrogance is bred amongst the legions. They are noble and proud, serving Bahamut in all things, but they tend to view problems from their lofty height in the Platinum Palace.
