History

Long before the mortal races walked the earth, Umunairu was a goddess of the storm, her majesty unmatched among her divine kin. She ruled the tempestuous skies, her domain embodying freedom, power, and unbridled chaos. When the primordials rose to war against the gods, their fury threatened to unravel the fledgling order of creation. The gods knew they needed champions to turn the tide of this celestial conflict. It was Umunairu who made the ultimate sacrifice. Seeing the desperate need for warriors to combat the primordial onslaught, she chose to split her soul into countless fragments, birthing the first couatl. Each couatl bore a piece of her essence, imbued with her divine might. These celestial serpents were living embodiments of Umunairu’s will. The act of creation shattered Umunairu’s corporeal form, leaving her no longer whole. This division was akin to death, yet her sacrifice elevated her further. As long as a single couatl remained, Umunairu's soul would endure, her fragmented spirit persisting across the planes. The couatl became a cornerstone of the gods’ army. Fighting alongside Sardior, the first dragon, and other divine champions, they helped turn the tide against the primordials.
