Leanna na Gaelaí

Leanna na Gaelaí is a mercenary company operating mainly in the Underdark. It has round 300-500 members, stationed in different bases. Its leader (and founder) is Kravna Shrovn . He escaped the restricting boundaries of the matriarchal drow city-state of Cervezzan. Although it is not known which house he was part of, it is a certainty that he was a drow noble of a mighty house. This mystery house most likely still shows some measure of support to him, if only in allowing him to remain alive. The goal of Leanna na Gaelaí is quite simple: making money, preferably without coming in too much danger. Thus, besides lending themselves for military ventures, the organization also takes up a fairly profitable position in the trade between the World Above and the cities in the Underdark. Although this band of mercenaries doesn't come cheap, they are very good in their work and your pay was worth it. The band has about a 100 spellcasters and a considerable cache of magic items. The organization mainly consists of drow but there are also Grimlocks, Duergar, Derro, Shades and a few Illithids among its ranks. Rumors circle around that the band even has a mutually beneficial agreement with a beholder or a dragon. Truth, of course, is difficult to distill. Interestingly enough, despite consisting mainly of drow, trust plays a big role in the organization. Murdering a fellow member is punished severely and through the decennia a bond of sorts has formed between its members. While calling it friendship would be stretching it too far, the band is capable of planning and executing complex operations for which a large amount of trust is needed.

Structure

The leader is Kravna Shrovn with his most important lieutenants being Zilfaere A'Daragon, a drow, and Horgrom, a duergar. These three are the figures important in running the military operations and arranging new contracts. Below them in rank are the quartermasters who run the different bases. Its military units follow a relatively standard command structure. More or less outside of the chain of command are the trademasters. These people are usually humans who care more about money than about the people they're dealing with but most still are unaware of who exactly they trade with.
