The Undercity

The city that the Thorn Syndicate calls home is resting atop the ruins of an older city that had partially sunk into the earth and then water following the sundering during the 3rd Arrival, which is nicknamed Old Briarport by some locals. A labyrinth of semi-submerged tunnels, catacombs, and ancient structures crisscross the underside of the city with tendrils sprawling into the mountainside itself, broken into by a series of sewer systems and waterways from each city that has tried to build on this land. With the breaking of the land during the 3rd Arrival many old pathways collapsed while others were exposed, and much of the routes became waterlogged.

It is the domain of criminals, both those using it to move product undetected, and those without allegiances or are too wild and aggressive for survival of the city above. It is also home to a large Wererat population that is so ingrained in the Undercity that they are synonymous to most who live above ground.
