Xadia - Class Subterrene

A superheavy Subterrene of the Hyperion Federation.   The Xadia - class, named after faction that seeded many species of what is now the HF, is a superheavy subterrene. It is designed with an extremely high crush and temperature resistance - giving it a very large crush depth. It is capable of travelling to the core of any known planet. The engineers that built this tested it on a star uncrewed, where it sunk to the core of this star, still intact. It remained intact for 38 years.   It uses a form of matter with a very large crush strength - neutron QCD matter. Unlike the form used in more advanced forms of TGX Composite designed to block projectiles, this uses a solidified form that takes most of the weight of the material above it.   The Xadia - Class features a large amount of weapons, being a superheavy subterrene. Armament consists primarily of its sonic cannons and subterranian torpedoes (can use antimatter warhead). It is also a carrier for several, smaller subterrenes (which are teleported into and out of the Xadia - class as needed). These drones allow it to provide even more forwards firepower and long range strike capability.   It is armoured primarily with several thick layers of TGX composite. There are intentional 'air'gaps (these are vacuums) built into the armour to help disrupt enemy sonic cannon waves as sound cannot travel through vacuums. This vehicle also detects heat and sound signatures of incomming subterranian torpedoes, so it intercepts those with its own sonic cannon CIWS weapons and softkill electronic warfare systems.   Finally, it is fitted with a very large photon drive. This projects a very large amount of force rearwards, pushing the craft forward with incredible force. This very rapidly melts all material behind it such as rock and magma. This creates a very large heat signature despite the existence of QEN. This makes it relatively easy to find.   The Xadia - Class is deployed from orbit via Planetary Assault Ship, as there is no other way to transport it between worlds due to its sheer size and immense mass form all the use of QCD matter.   Within the cores of planets, although the pressure from outside becomes immense, the gravity is reduced substantially because matter from every direction attracts the sub in equal directions which cancel each other out. As such, a system similar to that used on starships creates a form of artificial gravity so the crew are still effected by gravity while inside a subterrene and in the core.
