Uroaya
A large city on one of the lowest layers on Paragon.
Uroaya was built as a relatively large city, but due to the immense scale of the birch world it was built on, has a low population density and covers an immense area of land. Much of the population also live in structures which float on the Taidakic Field, giving many a spectacular view from their homes, especially when looking at the bottom of the upper layer. This was designed to resemble the night sky at night, and several large lights on the bottom of the upper layer are designed to resemble stars. Due to the structure of the birch world, there is no light pollution and the view can remain bright for eternity. The Taidakic fields are projected from lower layers manually for some cities and sectors on Paragon.
Even from the ground, the view of the structures above is spectacular. These beautiful sights make many people from all over HF territory want to live here, and the city gets a lot of tourist visits. Some are also afraid of the lowest layers of Paragon however, due to the immense supermassive black hole nearby, despite the fact that these layers have held for thousands of years without collapsing or any major issues. As such, many also stay away from these cities, instead looking at Uroayan views through virtual universes.
Located just past the outskirts of Uroaya is a massive structure which helps support the upper layers and hold them in place like a support pillar. This huge structure can be seen all over the city but is decorated to preserve the excellent views. It ressembles a large, detailed pillar with many orange-red lights rising into the sky. This immense support strut also serves to send matter plasma and energy to higher layers. It also has views of its own, and a number of viewing platforms acessable through Teleporters.
The city is powered mostly by dropping waste matter into the supermassive black hole. The birch world can convert black hole mass into energy to power itself and any starships that orbit the world. This makes life on the birch world and especially Uroaya very efficient. Few layers below Uroaya are habitable, so using this method of energy generation is not disruptive to many people's lives.
The city is split into several different districts that are each designed to support different species. However, almost all species are seen around the entire city. This also allows tourists to experience many different cultures without having to travel extremely far. There is also a large underwater district meant for aquatic species, though even land dependant species can also visit these structures with its many enclosed buildings; many of these are filled with air but some with water.
