Poraqu System

Star system which features Poraqu III , the home planet of the Quigg species.

The Poraqu star is an F class main sequence star with an almost completely blue hue. Even some quigg in large space stations can see the resemblance between their star and their home planet, which has led some to think they have come from both of these worlds despite quigg science being so well established. Some have actually visited the star and seen the immense heat it irradiates and others have never returned from this pilgrimage. Very few people attempt this.

As the quigg are still very new to interstellar politics, they have not had the chance to place extremely significant defences around their home system yet. Currently, few factions want to invade their home system because they do not have much for larger factions to take, but as they increase in scale they will become much more powerful. And their water-filled starships will aid them in combat very nicely too...
