Granzarell

A planet sized body which orbits the large gas giant of Cyora, along with the Phelke homeworld of Zanrilles.

Granzarell presents a fairly unique environment to the Cyora system. Almost entirely devoid of an atmosphere, many asteroids impact this planet and leave craters. Also, the reflective nature of this planet's rock material makes it very cold. What little of an atmosphere this planet does have is toxic to life and is likely to disappear as the planet has virtually no magnetosphere.

Granzarell appears mostly white from orbit. Most of its features are asteroid craters. Apart from the craters, there are few features on this planet so it is mostly ignored by most civilizations. There are ideas of terraforming it into a functioning planet, even complete with life similar to Zanrilles though, so sometimes a probe will enter orbit to survey it and provide much useful data to the scientists who want to terraform it.

Every planet in the Cyora system has a Monolith, so Granzarell has one too. This monolith is located fairly close to the equator on the Southern hemisphere and is one of the few interesting features of the planet. In ancient history, some phelke accidentally warped from the Zanrilles Monolith to Granzarell as they did not know it would teleport them between planets. Of course, these people never returned....

In the future, Granzarell is indeed terraformed. It becomes a symbol of the advanced technology of the HF and their ability to make even the most inhospitable environments safe to live in.
