024694 "Punisher" Shotgun

Shotgun as used by the HEX Mainframe.   The 024694 was named by the AI that designed it, but most organics of other factions have given it the nickname of "The Punisher" for easier identification and pronunciation. The weapon is designed to have a very high fire rate. This gives it a high recoil, so HM soldiers are often equipped with a suit similar to those H-37 Cyber Suits used by the Hyperion Federation. These take most of the recoil force. The shotgun itself resembles a machine gun, which are typically heavy enough to be mounted. However, 'The Punisher' is capable of laying waste to entire groups of enemy forces at short range. It cannot penetrate anything stronger than very light armour, so it is also fitted with a small under barrel rocket launcher that could devastate heavier armoured vehicles on weak point hits or lightly armoured vehicles normally.   It is fed by large, drum-like magazines capable of storing hundreds of rounds. It will need reloading after shooting for about 50 seconds. Sometimes, individuals with the weapon are launched behind enemy lines from massive cannons (the individual is placed in a pod similar to orbital drop pods). After impact, they are taken out of cryosleep and deployed with the weapon before killing several. However, this kind of task has a very small survival rate less than 1% because there is a significant lack of cover and they often must walk several kilometres before they reach the front. Some particularly hardy individuals have been known to survive 3 different launches but as of current no one has survived 4.
