Sand-Shark's
Oy, sharkman.
The sand-shark wasn't in the mood to deal with the fool today. "What."
How come you can't swim like a proper shark? You got them big teeth, big scaly back and that long tail and you scared of water. How is that?
Not scared, just can't swim in water. You asked yesterday. Sand not sea, remember?
Yea but...so? Ok fine, whatever but how come you can't swim in dirt?
What?
Dirt. You can swim in sand just fine. It's the same thing isn't it? Just dive in, do it right now. Wager you never even tried it.
The shark walks into a shop for a few moments without answering him and returns quickly. "You know dirt is solid right? Could you swim through ice?"
You're heavy. You'll break through. Try it, go on.
Hmm...
Stop lollygagging. What are you waiting for?
Ready sir?
Huh?
A mage conjures a block of ice behind the fool. "I'm waiting for that."
The sand-shark picks up the fool and throws him into the block of ice.
*Thunk* He hits it hard and slumps down. The fool is dazed as he looks up at the smiling shark.
Sorry about that. I thought you could swim.

Naming Traditions
Family names
The Sand-Shark's have adopted the use of last names but they rarely use them. They are given their names entirely based on physical appearance. So expect a lot of sharks to have 'tail' or 'fin' in their names.
Culture
Major language groups and dialects
They speak the common language of the Circle.
Culture and cultural heritage
Sharks have borrowed many things from Humans including culture.
They use Human building practices but use them with lightning. They'll construct buildings by shocking the sand into a desired form, creating glass housing.
Sharks are very inquisitive and will ask questions until they are satisfied.
They also are avid card players, probably the best in the circle. Even going so far as to have multiple card leagues running. But they never use the cards for combat like others do, they just like the game.
Common Etiquette rules
Due to their strong sense of smell they will build bathrooms rather far away from housing. It's standard practice, when walking through the more vulgar parts of cities above ground, they will require a torch held to their nose.
Common Dress code
When in the sands they will wear kilts and maybe a holster on the chest to hold a weapon. They prefer to stay in heat they will stay covered, even their tails.
Art & Architecture
All architecture is made from glass.
They'll create art in the form of things commonly found in the ocean. They create sandshells and will create their own reefs.
Common Customs, traditions and rituals
Any teeth that fall out are used for a few things, fashion, decoration or weaponry. A few armor pieces are even made out of them.
Sharks will bite things to test out the quality.
Common Taboos
- Unlike Sea-Sharks, Sand-Shark's will never eat or hunt other forms of sharks that are considered lower than them. This extends to the point they will only eat meat if necessary.
- Any violence that is not expressly needed to solve a situation is frowned upon.
- Being a practical people, they do hate wasting their time. This includes questions. No stupid questions.
