Brynn Westfell

Brynn Westfell is a human man of The City. He is a recent recruit of The Order of the Ancient Heart, serving as a paladin in the ranks of the The City chapter house.

Seeing his father and grandparents grieve his uncle's death, he wanted to find any way to stop the hurt. The Ancient Heart were the only ones that came close to healing his uncle in the terrible accident at The Trials, so he joined to learn as much as he could. He knows his magic will be extremely limited but he wants to try. He considers himself ready for an adventure.

Appearance

Brynn has youthful looks, brown hair, and permanent 5 o’clock shadow.

His armour is of decent quality, but he is taking on a more modest approach than his mother.

His mark of faith is a simple Heart/Hands circle pendant necklace on a silver chain.

Relationships

Brynn has an older brother, Gregor V, whom he looks up to, and two younger sisters, Tess and Sam.

Of his siblings, he is closest with Sam, when she is not avoiding everyone, and loves to show her any new magic he learns.

His father, Benjamin Westfell, is devoted to his family, but would have preferred that Brynn followed in the footsteps of either himself or Brynn's mother, Simoné Westfell. Simoné is a Lieutenant Defender for The City and is skeptical of The Ancient Heart and their motivations, though has professional respect their healing abilities.

Brynn's service and training at The Ancient Heart Chapter House has brought him under the tutelage of Évêque Cyril Durand , who a calm and supportive figure. More frequently in the day-to-day Brynn works closely with Matron Verity, who is far sterner and demanding of the new recruit.

He has known his closest friend, Jay Dagger, all his life, and throughout school they were inseparable. They meet up often and hang out at the Craigheart pub as their local. More recently, The Ancient Heart has taken more of Brynn's time, and Jay at the smithy, which neither likes but both understand.

While treating an injured Ash, Brynn discovered his secret identity as a felidae. He kept his secret, and went on to introduce Ash to The Order, whom he now supplies with herbs and ingredients.
