Mainstream Universal Council

The main governmental system of the majority of "Civilized" planets in Blightsteel. While all world's governments act on their own, the MUC (oftentimes referred to as "muck" by those who dislike the system) is essentially a meeting place for all universal leaders. Here, Universal Doctrines - UD's - are created. No dignitary legally has more say then the other at the council meeting and it takes more then a 50% vote to enforce a practice on a government that said planetary government's leader does not agree with.   Governmental leaders of the various planets are always at each other's throats despite the alliances many of them share. A big reason for this is conflict of interests or misunderstanding as to what specific laws actually do for the local populace.   A main point of contention for the MUC is also The Earth Warrior's impact on the universe. While The Earth Warrior is "law immune" (the laws of the universe are not a requirement to follow for The Earth Warrior) the governmental bodies can refuse help to any E-human who asks. The Earth Warrior holds the "earth seat" on the council and thus can attend any of the meetings they choose to, although they are oftentimes absent. If the Earth Warrior, however, commits atrocities against the universe and sentient life as a whole, he or she loses their law immunity and will be hunted down via the combined might of the council.   The MUC is blatantly corrupt at times, however. In several instances the council has choses to attack E-humans simply for being too much of a bother, although it's oftentimes under the table and only enacted by a few individuals. Blocking trade routes and threatening to stop supplying essential goods is also common, and each leader holds their resources close to their chest.
The MUC is essentially a meeting of every governmental body in Blightsteel. It's where they discuss space regulations and trade as well as any ongoing conflicts between governments. Wars between governments are often discussed here and sometimes the participants of said war will use the meeting to convince other governments that their cause is more just. The MUC is a huge mess because half the time different parties are fighting each other while others simply want to discuss trade. Most people leave the meetings dissatisfied and frustrated, especially those in need of military help.   Essentially, this is like a "world meeting" on earth where people from every planet meet up to discuss things. The state of certain wars, trade, economics, so on, so forth.
How to be on the council:
  • 3 seats per planet, 3 "most powerful" governments are taken from each planet
  • Hold political power in your government
  • Have experience in trade and politics

Cooperating

Trophy acts as a supplier to many factions for both entertainment and security purposes. They hold far more power then most of the factions even realize.
