Cosue

Celestial Entities

The Cosue are divine celestial beings—gods in their own right—created after the Ynue, sometimes by the Ynue alone, and other times with help from Yanu himself. Though younger than the Ynue, their influence stretches across the world, shaping the fabric of magic and life itself.
Each Cosue is visible in the sky, although none are ever present constantly. Their manifestations mark rhythms in time, magic, and divine will.

Solaris

Daybringer

The greatest of the Cosue, Solaris—often called Sol—is the shining light that creates the day. He is the visible sun, a god of warmth, clarity, and life.
Sol was created at the request of Killian, who wished to grant the world an eternal source of light. With the guidance of Geldor and the essence of Yanu himself, Solaris was born.
While the sun’s position shifts with the seasons, the average duration of day and night across the year is perfectly balanced—a mark of Geldor’s precise influence.
It is said the same sun shines upon Nova, the realm of Killian. As a being born of Yanu, Sol can transcend worlds. Unlike the Ynue, the Cosue were never banished, which allows Solaris to bridge Yanu’s world and others freely.

Lunaris

Guardian of Shadows
Lunaris, or Luna, was created as Sol’s opposite—guardian of the night, shepherd of the shadows. She represents comfort in darkness and the subtle power of calm.
She was made at Geldor’s request, shortly after Sol’s creation by Killian.
In one of his infamous whims, Yfnar caused the moon to vanish by chipping away at her light, piece by piece, until she disappeared. Enraged, Geldor forced him to restore her, one slice at a time.
Thus began the lunar cycle, a gift (or curse) of Yfnar’s magic. Geldor tried to reverse this but was unsuccessful, as Yfnar's magic proved too strong.
Luna now waxes and wanes over 29.5 days, vanishing and returning over and over again.

Mekharis

Lord of Prisons

Known also as the Red Moon, Mekharis was forged by Mallakar, with the help of the other Ynue, as a living prison to contain the Sanue, who had attempted to oppose their rebellion.
Mekharis was created just before the Ynue were banished, and at that point, he could not be unmade.
He is Mallakar’s twin and they share the vital essence of existence. As long as Mekharis exists, so does Mallakar, and vice versa. They are intertwined, and only Yanu himself could unravel that bond—something that would require his full return to sentience.
Mekharis spends most of his time in his realm, Delimination, but his physical form—the Red Moon—phases in and out of the world, initiating what’s known as the Mekharis Cycle.
Mekharis is a sentient god, but spends all of his concentration on his dark task, which is to make sure the Sanue stay imprisoned.

Mekharis Cycle:

Duration: Each cycle lasts between 7–12 days, with roughly 6 years between appearances on average, although it can be as quick as 6 months or as long as 20 years.
Appearance Time: It takes 2.5 days to fully arrive or fade.
Effects:

  • Empowers vampires, werewolves, and creatures born of the Ynue.
  • Weakens the barrier between worlds, allowing demons to enter freely and remain for the duration of the event.
  • Demonic activity starts once Mekharis is fully visible and continues until he vanishes again.
Causation

The ebb and flow of the Mekharis cycle is caused by the power of the Sanue that he contains. Their power flows, and it rocks back and forth. At times when they reach their peak, Mekharis is pulled into the world of Yanu.

Stellarae

Children of the Night

The stars, or Stellarae, are the children of Lyssaab, born to guide and inspire her followers. Though not fully sentient, they communicate through emotions and insight, rather than words.

The Stellarae serve many functions:

  • Navigation for travelers.
  • Divination for mystics.
  • Power for Lyssaab’s chosen.

Each star is unique in form and grants different powers. Brighter stars bestow greater gifts, and when a star falls from the sky, it is said to be a Stellara descending—its power called down from the heavens to aid a mortal.

Though every star has a name, only the brightest few are known and studied by the people of Yanu.
