Geldor

The Lady of Balance

Geldor is known as the great equalizer. She is the one who preaches moderation, she believes that no single extreme should ever become dominant, and that perfect balance must be achieved in all things.

In the days of Yanu, she had been in charge of moderating the other Ynue, making sure they didn't stray too far in any direction, this was rather successful, she prevented Yfnar from flooding the world more than he already did, and when Killian insisted on creating an eternal beacon to light up the world, it was Geldor who convinced her to let it go around the world, in a day and night cycle, and they should create a similar entity, to be present in the night.

All these actions and more are those of Geldor, the lady of balance, and nowhere can this be seen more than in her own realm.

Stafraan

This is the home of Geldor, it is a place, not unlike Yanu's world, with some small differences. There is no sun or moon, but there is a day and night cycle, light simply comes and goes at a constant pace. There is an equal amount of earth and water, although there are no major seas, just many round lakes, dotting the landscape in consistent and beautiful patterns, although their full glory may only be admired from far above the ground.

There are forests, plains, deserts, and mountains in the center, and it's supposed to be a pretty nice place to be in, especially compared to some other Ynue's realms.

Following

Geldor has her own cult, they call themselves the Sword of Justice, in most places they are considered a vile insurgent group, as they often fight against the established order of the world.

People follow her out of a desire to change things, to make things more equal, and her cult attracts people who have been wronged in some way, by the unfairness of the world, and it is in their mistress that they seek validation, acceptance, and the power to make things better.

Overlord

Geldor is a strict mistress, she does not tolerate indecisiveness or disorderly conduct, and she severely punishes any who deviate from her dictates.
She is a controlling deity who has had written scriptures transcribed, describing the proper way to conduct every aspect of ones life. She doesn't seek control like Mallakar, who wishes to dominate and be superior, she seeks control to maintain proper behavior in her subjects, so they do not act out of line.
She does not collect the souls of her followers, and she remains one of the only Ynue to let the Reapers take their followers upon their death. Her primary goal is to rule the world, so she may have to power to bring the balance she desires.

Order

Geldor, along with Balance, is obsessed with order, she needs things to be in their proper place so balance may be achieved, and for that to be possible, she requires order and control on the deepest level.

Appearance

She appears as a middle-aged woman with light blue eyes, and straight brown hair, which she keeps in a tight bun.
Her clothing of choice is a modest dress of black and grey, not too flashy, but not too simple either.
She carries no weapons, instead, she wears a book on a belt around her waist, which contains her full scripture, and she often uses it to explain her will to her followers.

Original Purpose

Yanu created Geldor as the overarching authority of his world. He needed someone to keep the other Ynue in line, to make sure they didn't go too overboard with their creations. She did her best, but her fellow Ynue's increasingly erratic behaviour caused her to grow more and more rigid in her idea of balance, eventually driving her towards extremism in balance.
