Krakensberry is a charming seaside town where the salty tang of the sea blends with the earthy aroma of nearby woodlands. This atmosphere has come under threat however after multiple acts of terror and aggression by the dreaded The Crimson Corsairs. The town is now rough and tucked inside defensive walls hurriedly built in attempts to stave off further destruction.
Krakensberry is nestled between the gray, choppy waters of the Stormfallow Coast and the looming presence of the Gloamwood Forest, a dense and shadowy expanse of ancient trees. The town sees frequent cloudy weather, with a cool mist often rolling in from the sea, lending a mysterious, dreamlike quality to the area. Lanterns on iron posts line the streets, their warm light cutting through the mist during early mornings and evenings. Despite the gloom, Krakensberry is alive with activity.
