While Beleg doesn't have any particular malice towards Osmorn or his mother, neither did he work all that hard to keep them around, or to shield Osmorn from Laniatte Maeir when she chose to make Osmorn's life hard. From Osmorn's point of view, Beleg is a cold-hearted and uncaring parent.
