Norsespace
The bodies of the giants piled high around the All Father, and the ground was soaked in their blood. But it was not enough, for the great Wolf climbed the mountain of corpses and looked down upon Him. And He knew fear, for He knew the prophecy and that Death had arrived. As the Wolf leapt, He set the great spear, and looked Death in the eye.
The Mother was surrounded by as many giants as Her husband, and had no where left to go. She was wounded, and as the fiery giant loomed over Her, she felt the Father's death. She set herself, and leapt at her foe, bringing her great sword over her head, leaving herself open to ensure her strike hit home.
The Sons and Daughters followed their Parents, one by one. The Watcher and the Trickster fell together, blades buried in each other's hearts. The Favorite fell to poison, but killed the Snake. And the Warrior was crushed beneath the bodies of his foes.
The Gods have passed, and the Giants rule. And so it shall be, until the Ending comes for them as well, as all things must end.
Geography
Norsespace consists of a yellow sun, three small planets, and six moons. All of these were habitable at one time, but the moons burned, losing their atmospheres, during the final war.
The planets remain habitable, although the total populations are quite small. The farthest from the sun, knocked into a different orbit during the war, is the domain of the frost giants. The middle planet, once the breadbasket of the system, is tired and worn, and the home of the hill giants. The former capital, and closest planet to the sun, is now the home of the fire giants, and still the seat of power for the system.
