Delilah was born in Paka-Uzi on the first of Anima-Mea, 9208 of the fifth era, with her sister. When she was 16 years old, she was taken from her family to be conscripted into the Astridium. Despite her age she survived her first combat with help from one of her superiors, who sought to actually train the recruits who were really just handed a rifle and a helmet and told to point and shoot. After surviving several trips she felt were designed to kill her and her fellows, she was thrown into the 12th squadron of the Astridium. She quickly found fellowship among her squadron. Despite her circumstances, she was actually somewhat happy among her squadron, until two of her squad-mates, Bubbles and Pingu, were separated during an ambush in a small village called Soraji, a few klicks from Devil's Claw coast. Pingu made it to a hospital, Bubbles did not. This shattered the illusion for Delilah, who became isolated from her squadron during her mourning period. She eventually found herself in the Shrine of the Great Pride, finding herself considering for the first time what she can take from the Astridium, when they've taken so much from her. She enlisted, a decision that puzzled Sleeper, but that they approved of if she had to be there regardless, and climbed quickly. Her enlistment eventually allowed her to provide for her family by sending money back, as well as frequently send letters. She did not tell her family the details of what she does, only how well her "career" was doing. When the war ended for reasons Delilah does not truly care about in favor of caring that the war was finally over, she moved her sister to the city of Kuranga. They both realized they don't really know each other, even if they were mutually very happy to see each other.

Delilah eventually found work as a mercenary, getting herself into the sheets and heart of a particularly strange and unsavory person who still adores her enough to customize and maintain her gear for her. Eventually she tired of freelancing and joined a proper adventuring guild, quickly gaining a reputation for being a piece of work, but a highly skilled, professional piece of work.

Delilah does not care how others perceive her gender, nor does she care about her gender or others' gender. Her pronouns have no real meaning to her beyond being the most consistent sounds used to refer to her. She's about as attached to them as she is her own name, which to her is just the most consistent noise used to get her attention.

Delilah is demiromantic and bisexual, with a preference for males. She very rarely engages with anyone romantically or sexually, but when she does she shows a clear preference for those with similar backgrounds to herself. She's not romance adverse, but does not enjoy romance as entertainment nor does she particularly enjoy hearing about other people's romantic pursuits. She needs strong platonic bonds for romantic attraction to occur.

Delilah is intensely analytical and applies that analysis with brutal efficiency. She is more than capable of effectively designing and executing complex plans, but is straightforward and will always favor the simplest solution.

Delilah is very cleanly. She's well kept and prioritizes her self grooming. She will often become irritated if she has to be muddy or have things sticking to her, but is more tolerable of being dusty or wet.

Delilah's parents are lesbians, so her family is simple yet complicated.

Delilah's biological parents are Bellamy Garniers and Lewis Chevalier, but she considers Bellamy and Collete her parents.

Delilah is claimed by the deity Mau, specifically the middle head, Simmau. They first made contact with Delilah when she was 16 years old, when she was brought to the pride shrine. It's possible and likely to Delilah that Simmau blessed her and was the one to guide her toward enlisting so she could actually survive, but Simmau never confirmed this to her if they did. Ever since that encounter Delilah has given Simmau their dues, but Simmau has never requested anything of her nor contacted her directly.

Most people find Delilah's body language very unnerving. She's extremely still, content to watch, wait, and learn. When she isn't still she gives the impression of aggravation with her lashing tail and intense eyes. She has straight posture and walks silently.

Duke

Duke is Delilah's Ibizan hound, in training to become her service dog. He's playful, energetic, and loves goat cheese.

Camping/Backpacking

Delilah enjoys camping and backpacking as a way to travel during her off time from work, as well as get to know more environments, their locals, and put her hyper-vigilance to good use. She especially loves taking Duke with her on these trips, because Duke loves them too. She often takes these trips to be alone (Save Duke), but will sometimes invite friends like Tabby, Bashir, or occasionally Wyatt and Zara. Trips with friends tend to be shorter but involve more travel.

Hunting + Fishing

Another element of camping that Delilah likes is hunting and preparing her own food. She fishes by hand and occasionally hunts big game such as elk-Ironically she does not like to use firearms to do so, as it feels unfair to her. Unfortunately between her love of pouncing directly onto elk to snap their neck and fishing by hand, it's difficult to find others who would enjoy doing so with her.

Cooking

Delilah loves to cook, though rarely does so indoors. Anyone wishing to taste her culinary delights had better be ready to go on a five hour hike to fish or hunt for it. Her favorite thing to prepare is river trout, which she enjoys the process of catching, gutting, cooking, and eating.

Delilah usually speaks in a fairly deadpan and monotone way. She's a soprano, and has a sylcian accent.
