| Quilan |
Shifter-Daoine |
After his cousin Ilmarë's struggles as a Monarch, and the painful loss of his nephews, the choice to invest in the Frost Army was pushed hard in truth. The prior King being a target however, was for the most part, a political ploy that was certain clever, even if it was not entirely a lie.
However, without a place like Summer, a true Army is extremely expensive, and King Quilan came close to ruining the budget for a century due to his rapid expansions. So he chose to tax Atlantis for the trouble of tending the matter. |
| Pilaek |
Merrow-Siren |
While Pilaek supported the hydroponic systems, and even the the manner that both the underground gardens were considered protected land, in trade, he began to heavily tax Atlantis to pay for it, just as his predecessor. While this was initially considered a price of progress, it was eventually decided by the nobles of Atlantis that they would be wise to tap into the rich metallic and magical mines beneath and around the city. At first this was carefully done to avoid dangerously wasteful choices, and it made a considerable amount of funds for both the Frost Army, Atlantis, with even enough left over for more farming land to be cleared. |
| Sareket |
Daimon/Frost Faerie |
As a noble from Shimmer City for generations, Sareket had some disdain for Atlantis from the start of his reign, but generally kept his preferences tightly bound to his chest. He was deeply invested in the mining that began with the previous King, simply due to how both the magical metals helped with the expansion of the still growing Frost Army. By then, the old Ranger System is all but a forgotten relic that no one wants anyway, right? |
